I was calling sonos helpline to get some assistance with my sonos play 1 skipping parts of songs or whole songs at a time but when I got to position 2 they hung up on me, I was folding laundry and my phone was on the side nothing touched it so they hung up on me, then when I called back I was in postion 8 and I'm not waiting cos of their mistake.

Why don’t you contact them via Twitter instead, since you’re unwilling to wait on the phone?

Conversely, if you’re skipping parts of songs, or complete songs, that suggests either wifi interference or an issue with a duplicate IP address. In addition to reading the linked FAQ, I’d refresh the network by unplugging the Sonos from power, then rebooting the router. Once the router has come back up, plug the Sonos back in.
