Cliff Richard Radio Station Not Working With Sonos

I run an internet radio called Cliff Richard Radio. For years it’s been playing fine with Sonos but lately Chrome stopped supporting a lot of internet radio stations unless we changed our SSL to run over it and updated it with TuneIn so it will run. It seems Sono’s hasn’t picked up on the radio update as my Sono’s equipment along with many of my listeners is no longer working with my station. It won’t play. It’ll play fine with the TuneIn App by itself but won’t play at all in the Sonos app, you press play and nothing. I’ve submitted help to Sonos but have heard nothing back. All other stations via tunein work no problem that I’ve tried. Please help.

What happens if you enter your station URL directly into the Sonos app? If that works, then this is TuneIn’s problem to fix as their database needs an update (Sonos use the directory differently to the TuneIn app itself). If the direct URL does not work then list the details: the url and details of the SSL change you made.

Have put in the URL and it doesn’t play. All I did was change from Shoutcast to Icecast servers.

is what I gave TuneIn and it works fine on their standalone app

That is an HTML page, not a media url. Sonos needs a url that points to the actual media stream. I can’t figure out the url from the page, maybe someone else can.

This is correct, but OP says he runs the station.

To the OP... you must know the streaming URL, surely?

I do see that the stream is encrypted with a key from Lets Encrypt. I can’t find the list now, but I believe this root CA provider is not supported by Sonos players. Try using a key from a supported root CA provider.

Found it on the old site, could not find it on the new developer site though:’

Sorry I Copied the wrong link from Voscast. It’s this one

I had to move from the old Shoutcast servers to Icecast.

I don’t know if I can run two streams at the same time from them as really want the station to be completely compatible with everything. If I had of known it was going to be like this I would’ve just let the google browsers not work as now I’ve found out other internet radios won’t work. Only Alexa and google home work.

That’s still a web page. I think what you want is

I don’t have any expertise in adding a URL to the Sonos client like controlav does, but I think one of those would work when following the instructions at the Setting up an internet radio station FAQ
