Android Sonos controller can't connect to player

As of today, my Android Sonos Controller app can't connect to my Sonos player. The message indicates that my connection to a VPN is preventing the connection; however, I am not connected to a VPN according to my settings. I have restarted my S9, uninstalled and reinstalled the Sonos controller app, and rebooted my router multiple times throughout the day in attempts to resolve the issue to no avail. This was never a problem until the most recent controller update yesterday.

Any suggestions?

Is your Android device maybe on a 5Ghz network, while your Donos devices are on 2.4GHz (the only frequency they function on)?

I’m a bit clueless in the phone area but you could disable your mobile data option and verify the phone is connected to your WiFi router on 2.4 GHz and the main WiFi, not a guest setting.
