White Beam comes with black power cord???

Wondering is it normal that a white Beam's power cord is in black???

Nice theory, except it's the same power cable as Play:5 G2. That's available in white.

The logic for Beam's cable being black is evidently that it matches the 'cove' on the back.
I was actually made aware of this by the sales rep in the store, where I purchased the Beam. However, since it is placed in front of my TV, the cord is not visible, unless you are standing extremely close to (or behind) my TV. Which is not really possible. I also purchased a pair of white Play:1's which have a matching white cord - that's appreciated, but for the Beam, I don't really care.
I just got tricked by this also. I own a 1, a 5, and a Connect--all white and all came with white cords. Why does Beam come with a black cord?
