I was digging through some threads regarding sonos speaker connection problems via WiFi.
heres my 2 cents.
I have a sub, 4 play 1’s , 2 play 3’s, 2 play 5’s and a playbase.
When I was in the process of moving I used my cellular hot spot on my iPhone and used the sonos app on my iPad. That was with about a dozen or more WiFi networks from neighbors houses on the sonos speakers radar.
believe it or not I got almost everything to work just through the meager hot spot connection on my phone and I was able to play tunes from Apple Music and amazon music without any problems.
I’m not saying this is a good way to connect and I don’t suggest it unless you have an unlimited data plan.
what I am saying is these speakers connect easily for me every time and I was amazed I could get them to work through a WiFi hotspot until regular internet services were installed.
lots of complaint threads about connection issues. I just don’t get it.
