Sonos S2 app freezes on iPhone SE (1st gen) running IOS 12.0

After flawless use of the previous app, Sonos 2 refuses to run properly on my iPhone SE (Gen 1), IOS 12.0. The My Sonos screen won’t load and freezes the whole app whenever selected.

Yes, it is an oldish OS but, before upgrading, I would like confirmation that this will fix the problem or if there is some other solution.

Pretty disappointed to hit such a fundamental snag.

iOS 11 and above is supported.  Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the app, being sure to select “Connect to existing System”.

 

Also are all your speakers S2 compatible and have they all been upgraded to S2?

Thank you bockersjv. Yes to all your suggestions.

I did find this previous post suggesting that the IOS may be the issue. Will upgrade to IOS 13 after taking a moment to think about any other app compatability issues that may trigger.

This problem was resolved by installing IOS 13.

Sonos 2 app was NOT supported by IOS12.0 on my iPhone SE.

AGREED - It did not work on my iphone SE running 12.1.4

S2 worked for everything except Spotify & Sonos Radio and the Favorites tab - it made it all freeze.

 

it did work on my husbands phone running 11

So I updated to IOS13 and now it works.
