My Wifi Box can issue Wifi signals in Wifi 6 norm.

Can the Sonos signal use the Wifi 6 norm? If not, are there plans to upgrade the speakers and system to work with this new norm? If you plan on doing this, will it work with an online upgrade or will only new products able to operate with Wifi 6? What is the timeline for this?

The advantage of Wifi 6 is that it accepts many systems at the same time and has a much longer operating range… Practical in a house...

The 802.11ax standard is backward compatible to 802.11g/b/n and ac standard, so yes the Sonos system will work with such backward compatibility.

WiFi 6 requires new hardware (antennas and chip sets) so there will never be any software “upgrades” to magically enable that.
