Hi All! I am contemplating installing a Sonance MAG 6.1 but need 2 add 2 speakers which I understand can not be added in wired fashion. I was told that i could run 2 extra wifi speakers off the sonos app. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not? Thanks!

You can certainly run up to 32 speakers off the Sonos app. But they’d need to be either connected via a Sonos Amp, or ‘regular’ Sonos speakers to be part of the Sonos system. You wouldn’t be able to add non-Sonos WiFi speakers.

You can run 2 Sonos speakers from the Sonos app, but they are not compatible with the Sonance MAG 6.1 system. Sonos and Sonance are two different companies, and although Sonance makes some speakers for use with the Sonos Amp, the MAG 6.1 system isn’t one of them.

Maybe off topic a bit…...Does anyone make a good bluetooth set of outdoor speakers that stay plugged in, don’t have to be charged and the same with a BT / Plugged in Sub? That might solve my problem.
