Does not appear to getting any power when plugged in. It is out of warranty so I presume it is landfill material now. Can anything be done?

Gen 1 or 2? Sonos have sometimes given discounted offers for out of warranty replacement, so worth asking. Make sure it isn't just a blown fuse in the power supply! Call Sonos.
