Not able to sign in to install an update

Sonos 10.1 has an update for performance improvements. I click on "let's do this". It then starts to "update controller: installing". Then I get a pop up window asking for my password to complete. I enter it and it says that it's not correct. I know that's not the case because I'm able to sign into my Sonos account through the Sonos.com site. Has anyone encountered this problem. I can't use Sonos until I can complete this update.

You don't specify, but are you by any chance updating the Sonos controller on a Mac? If so, the password required is your Mac's password, not the Sonos one. (It's required by the Mac to allow installation of updated software.)
