Muting the microphone on Sonos One

Two questions:

  1. The microphone can be activated ONLY by pressing the microphone button on the speaker. True or false?
  2. Pressing the microphone button will not activate the mic if the Touch Controls setting in the Sonos app is toggled OFF. True or false?

Hi

1/  The mic button toggles the mic on and off but only after the Sonos skill has been enabled within the Alexa App or **.  If you have privacy concerns the Sonos One SL has no mic;

2/ False - these two actions are not related.

No, the microphones buttons are not software controlled. Only the other buttons. The microphone button is a hard wire connection, no outside influence allowed, in order to satisfy those who have extraordinary concerns.
