Boost advanced settings

I've recently added a Boost to my system -- is working well but two anomalies which I'm wondering about.

http://10.0.0.xxx:1400/support/review works for all components in the system including the Boost except that I cannot get a Network Matrix if the IP address points to the Boost -- I get one everywhere else.

http://10.0.0.xxx:1400/advconfig.htm -- works for every component except the Boost - get the too familiar Error 404...

Curious - does this indicate an issue or a 'feature'?


System has one Play:1, One Connect, Three Connect Amps plus the Boost. The Boost and one Connect Amp are hardwired to ethernet port, and all devices have the Wifi turned on.

Thanks for any thoughts...

Sonos started locking down what is accessible when accessing the player pages by IP.

It's unfortunate, but understandable why they are locking their products down. Just wish they didn't take away the reboot page.
Hmm - thanks guess that makes it a 'feature'...too bad...
any current list of what is available to use/debug/set? Google search has been less than helpful..

Not that I'm aware of... maybe one of the Sonos employees can reach out.
The network matrix has never been obtainable through the Bridge or Boost. Given that it is available on any player IP, why does this matter at all?
Thanks for that -- Doesn't matter now that I know it's not supposed to be available -- but as this was my first add of a Boost was curious about the difference in behavior -- hence the phrasing of "issue or feature" -- been digging in on the various levels of information available from the system to help fine tune the system -- until I began really focusing on the information I didn't realize how 'toxic' my office was a 'hub' for my music system -- been moving equipment around all day and things are much better -- but always curious to learn more -- thanks again

Great answers everyone. The http://10.0.0.xxx:1400/advconfig.htm page was converted to http://10.0.0.xxx:1400/advconfig I believe, but I don't think the Boost has it anymore.

Hmmm, that sounds like you might be managing some wireless interference.

Sonos has a pretty solid article on reducing it. Check it out if you haven't already.

Thanks Ryan -- actually both command lines seem to work with or without the .htm.

Thanks Misfit -- good article but issue in office likely multifaceted and beyond wireless interference -- actually have very little wireless in the area, wifi and sonos channels separated -- and shutting down devices (wireless connected printer) didn't eliminate issue. But room has a lot of steel/concrete/electrical (including 50amp sub-panel) so could be any number of environmental issues (non-changeable) causing signal distortion. The only thing that was really important to run in the office was my new Klipsch headphones -- but fortunately it has a USB connection and I've tuned that up to be better than my subpar ears so all good! Moving the equipment has given me a better 'matrix' in far flung areas - especially my workshop where I used to get occasional drops -- thanks for your answers...

It's always a good thing to remember too, the 'matrix' isn't really a great indicator of issues.

My matrix is basically green across the board and I still get dropouts occasionally. I personally feel that it's due to the content played, as well as the way my system is set up.

Having a speaker on top of my fridge definitely doesn't help for any interference issues, lol.
