We’re excited to announce that Amazon Music is now entering public beta on Sonos. We’ve had a great partner in Amazon with Amazon Music (now named Amazon Music Library on Sonos), cloud streaming for your music library. We’re very pleased to improve that framework with access to the full Amazon Music streaming service.

Amazon Music is available in the United States, free for all Amazon Prime subscribers. The service includes Prime Stations, professionally curated playlists, and full access to their on demand music library of artists, albums, and songs.

You can read more about adding your Amazon Prime account and using the new service here. Please note that Amazon Music Library is still available as a service, Amazon Music will be available as well if you’re on the public beta.

Find out more about Amazon Music on Sonos on our blog here: http://blog.sonos.com/news/stream-amazon-music-to-sonos-speakers.

Please note, the Sonos public beta is available for Android, Mac and Windows PC controllers only. Though iOS controllers will be able to play music with the new Amazon Music service, you will need to use a different controller to add the service to Sonos once you're on beta. The iOS controllers will have limited settings since they can't update. Let us know if you have any questions.

Not as good a user-experience as Google Music then.

Does anyone know if this will be improved? eg so you can search Amazon Prime from within the Sonos app

Even the Amazon Apps require you to add to your library before playing. The difference being that you can search the Prime tracks and add them directly from the web or app. Kenneth from Sonos has stated that they are looking to add this functionality in the future. See this link for the statement:

Ah great, at least it's coming.

For me using it by myself it is fine, the issues when somebody else is using it, party, babysitter etc etc They can't access new music

How do you search/find new music on Amazon Prime, I see playlists and my library but nothing else?

When I do a search in the Sonos search, nothing from Amazon shows up.

The only way I seem to be able to be able to get new music is to open the Amazon Music Android app, find a song, add it to my library, it is then available in the Sonos app under my Amazon library

And presumably double checking that someone at Sonos had paid the £79 Amazon Prime subscription. 😛

Jumped the gun? :)

The service was available but we wanted to make sure all the "i"s were dotted and "T"s were crossed before drawing too much attention 🙂

Weird indeed. The post has been removed.
What happened to Ryan's announcement that it was now available in Germany and UK as well as US? It was on-line for about 30 minutes and has now disappeared!

Anyway I have added it without any problems.

We wanted to update everyone here that Amazon Music for Prime subscribers is now available on Sonos in new countries, now including the United Kingdom, Germany and Austria. Take a look here for more details.

One last try...
Open your Amazon Music app on your iPhone. The home page shows Prime Music, then Your Library, then Recent Activity. Tap on Prime Music, and you'll see the categories I was referring to - Recommended, Stations, Playlists and Spotlight. Are these now visible in the Amazon Music Library area within the Sonos controller?

I am a GPM subscriber and the london grammar album is not on GPM buf it is on amazon prime.
I have been a Prime member for 8 years and have the 4 referrals.

I have just typed david bowie in ios app clicked let's dance to add to my library
Gone to SONOS and let's dance is there I never not bought either of these two albums.
Try deleting your ios app (if you have an iPhone)
remove amazon music on sonos and then re add.
The link was amazon.com but as I say I live in the UK & entered my .co.uk username & password
(I have bought from amazon.com in the past).

Which is why I asked dean76 if he could see categories other than Your Library in the Sonos controller. In other words, Sonos mirroring the iOS app categories.

It's not that we don't believe you but I'm in the UK and when I go to "Amazon Music Library" in Sonos I am ONLY seeing my purchased music so NOT all the Amazon Prime Music.

I would very much like it to be available but it doesn't seem to be for me.

To answer you question about 'spotlight' if I now search london grammar
