"Sorry this device is offline", is it living on in eternity?

Like so many others, I have the same problem. We have sonos in two homes, already named the speaker based on their location, but it still persist to not reaching the “device”.
@Sonos, isn’t that something you guys could fix in the next update?

I’m not sure I understand entirely what you mean. Are you getting this “offline” result while using a voice service or are you getting this error message via the Sonos app while attempting playback?

A little more detail on this issue should help us get an accurate resolution for you.
