I have a Playbar and want to add two sonos 1 speakers for surround sound. Should I get two with alexa or just one, and a regular sonos 1?

You cannot mix them as surrounds, so it is just a question of whether you want voice control in the most convenient form

You can't stereo pair a Play:1 and Sonos One. So it is probably a safe assumption that you can't use a Play:1 and Sonos One combination as surrounds.

Might as well get the Sonos Ones as they are the same price and will give you Alexa voice.

And they are not strictly speaking different versions of the same speaker. The new speaker is the Sonos One. The older speaker is the Play:1.
Thanks Guys
