Sonos and Alexa in my country?

I have seen a few articles from a couple of months ago quoting Sonos Management where they mention support for 27 new countries coming this “spring”, one of which was my country.

However the official page of supported countries is unchanged and there are no countries currently listed as “coming soon”.

So has this been abandoned or do I hold my breathe for a little longer?

I’m afraid you need to hold your breath a little longer. Sonos has to wait for legal authorization from Amazon before they can add Alexa in your region. Often, that has lagged behind when Amazon offers the service on their own hardware. 

Since there’s no real financial relationship between the two companies, you may be better off pressing Amazon directly, since you’re a paying customer.
