Problem adding a voice service to Sono Five

Just purchased a Sonos Five and I’m trying to add a voice service.

Everything seems to be working perfectly with the device and the Sonos app. The Sonos skill is enabled and linked in the Alexa app. I can control the device from the Alexa app, no problem.

When I select ‘add a service’ under Voice, then select Amazon Alexa, it gives me the message ‘Add Amazon Alexa’. When I click this, it takes me to the Sonos skill in the Alex App and that’s it. If I then go back to the Sonos app and select ‘Done’ nothing is added.

Ive tried disabling the skill and reenabling it.

Any help would be appreciated.

The Sonos Five isn’t Alexa enabled, so I don’t think you can do or need to do what you are attempting.  What Alexa enabled device do you have in order to control the Five by voice?

Ah ha, that’ll be it 😊

I do have other Alexa devices in order to control it and I also have other Sonos device on order that are Voice enabled.

Didnt realise that the Five is not.

Thanks for your help.
