It seems we are able to link a sonos speaker to Alexa devices for all sound now, not only music, leaving the Echo as a sole microphone.

I am wondering what devices are supported. Here is what's working for me:

- Sonos one as receiver

- Echo dot gen 3 as sender

While these are incompatible:

- Echo gen 1 as sender

- Echo Spot as sender

- Sonos play:5 as receiver

Is that intended or am I just missing some updates?

So I’ll answer the question myself.

Every Sonos device with Alexa BUILT IN will be selectable as the target of another Alexa devices speech output.

I believe this Alexa update is in the process of rolling out but I’m not sure if it is rolled out to everyone yet.  Also for the use of Sonos devices, I believe that they are only available if they are not within a group.
