I found several posts related to this, but no answers how to make it work. I have a solution that I would like to share:ProblemAlexa routine will stop if Alexa is asked to say something (Good Morning phrase, flash briefing, weather, etc.). This only happens when running a routine on a SONOS (or any other non-Amazon) speaker. SolutionAs a work around you can use and IFTTT trigger to run another routine in parallel. To stop things happening at the same time, you can add a time delay to your original routine. See examples below of how this works pragmatically. The solution is a workaround, not an ideal solution. However, I would rather have a higgldy piggldy workaround rather than the function no longer working as I want better audio than an Echo! Before:- Routine would stop after bracketed actionWorkaround:- Subroutine is run and delay is added IFTTT Subroutine:-
I switched from Comcast to Verizon, uninstalled Alexa and reinstalled. Upgraded to the new Sonos app and when asked to play a station on Pandora, Alexa will acknowledge, but no music plays. I’m at a loss for what to try next.
Quale è il comando vocale che applica la duplicazione di quellom che sta producendo uno speaker sonos su un altro? Per capirsi meglio la stessa azione della pressione continuata del tasto play/pause? What is the voice command that applies the duplication of the one spekaer sono another one? To better understand the same action of continuously pressing the play / pause button?
I searched the help quite extensively for this issue but didn’t find anything. Nevertheless apologies if I missed something and this has already been answered.I noticed my Echo Spot is no longer controlling my ConnectAmp in the kitchen and on further investigation it seems it now thinks the Connect is a Roam. I have deleted it from the Alexa app and rediscovered it, it still discovers a Roam and won’t control it. I tried renaming it, that didn’t help. Here’s the thing, I did have a Roam for a couple of weeks but returned it as, to be honest, it was a bit crap, constantly losing connection and needing resets. It took ages to get it set up in the Sonos 2 app, whilst leaving all my other devices connected to the Sonos 1 app….so I am guessing this is at the root of the issue. I have, however, removed all the Sonos 2 stuff from phones and laptop.Does anyone have any suggestions short of me completely starting from scratch, removing all my devices from the Sonos app and rediscovering them?
Is there a good way to tell it to play a radio station with a non-english name? I want to keep the devices language to English. With google, I could at least spell it letter by letter, which it doesn't seem to support here. Is there a way of giving a radio station a nickname? Is there a way of making a list of presets? Any other ideas?I really would have preferred using Sonos voice, but it's even worse in this context. Google, doesn't have Audacy. Thanks
Bonjour, habitant en belgique, alexa n’est pas disponible comme service vocale.Quand peut-on esperer pouvoir l’activer en belgique ? Merci a vous.Moderator Edit: Added Google Translated English for English Forum:Hello, living in belgium, alexa is not available as a voice service. When can we expect to be able to activate it in Belgium? Thank you.
Every couple weeks, Alexa stops responding to commands or stops responding consistently. For example, I can start playing something with a voice command but cannot stop playing or adjust the volume with a voice command despite hearing the acknowledgement chime. To fix this issue, I have to disable and re-enable Alexa several times before capabilities are restored. Have others experienced this? Is there a long term fix that is known or in the works?
I have purchased the Sonos Move to replace our Echo in the Kitchen. Very impressed with the sound. I do have one issue…. When we set timers on Alexa and when the timer alarm goes off, the alarm is very quiet. I’ve looked through both the Sonos and Alexa apps to see if the volume can be turned up and I can’t find anything. Can this actually be done? I hope so as I don’t want to return the Move for a refund for something that should be quite simple to adjust and do.
About 4-6 weeks ago, Alexa and Google Home commands can no longer find my Sonos devices.I can ask both services for the time and weather just fine, but I can no longer play music via voice command (I can only play music through the app). What gives? Why can’t smart assistant services find my Sonos devices any longer?
Recently moved to Vietnam and when trying to add Alexa it says that it is not available in this country. Have used it in a bunch of different countries without issues. Any ideas? Need the app to allow location settings for Alexa to work, which may be an issue.
I live in Sint Maarten in the Caribbean most of the year. I would like to be able to stream Alexa through my Sonos Move, and bought it specifically because it was, “alexa enabled.” However, once I got it set up, I’ve found that Alexa does not work on the sonos in Sint Maarten. My amazon devices work fine, but don’t have the cordless capabilities that the Move has. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
For over 6 months I was able to use Alexa on my 4 Sonos devices (3 x Sonos One + Sonos Beam). It was working much better than Google Assistant and I was able to control my smart home devices this way. However, few weeks ago Alexa stopped responding correctly to some of the commands and last week it declined to work completely. When trying to troubleshoot the issue I removed Sonos skill from Alexa. Unfortunately, now I cannot add it back. When trying to add Alexa in the Sonos app I can see a message “Amazon Alexa is not available in your country”. Is there any way to bring back the Alexa to Sonos? It was working perfectly fine in English. I was wondering if the Sonos team could disable the geographical restriction in Amazon Skills store? I’m really angry as my choice to buy 5 devices (Beam, 3 Sonos One and one One SL) was driven mostly by the Alexa support few months ago...
trying to add additional voice enabled units to existing system. I originally created an Amazon account for the purpose but no longer have access to its associated email. When I try and add new units it links automatically to existing old Amazon account and states its sent a verification email to my redundant inaccessible account. I don’t seem able to break this auto completion of existing Alexa account . Tried deleting all existing voice account links and starting from scratch to use new Alexa account but I can’t break out of the precompleted old account details- help please
I have had Sonos, Alexa, and Yonomi for a few years now. I would really like to create some yonomi routines that play a Sonos playlist or Sonos favourite. Is this possible? When creating a yonomi routine, i can choose the sonos speaker (one is a Sonos One), and it then shows a selection option for “Play Favorite’ and “Play Playlist” (and others) but i can’t select anything. It just says “Nothing found”.Solved: Removed devices from alexa (but not sure i got them all. Disabled Alexa Sonos skill. . Reenabled Sonos skill. Discover devices in Alexa ap (multiple times, after about ½ hour it actually found them again). Now yonomi is showing the list of playlists and favorites.
