Can’t enable Alexa on Sonos One, Amazon fails to sign-in

I can’t sign-in Amazon to enable Alexa as my voice service on my Sonos One (I’m using an iPhone). Error message: “There was a problem. Internal error. Please try again later”. It isn’t a password related issue as I’m being able to open the Alexa app and Amazon. Please help.
