When I ask alexa on my beam or roam to play songs it will only ever play one and then stops.

Do you have a paid Amazon Music subscription?
In the Alexa app, try disabling and re-enabling the Sonos skill. Also try removing and re-adding Amazon Music in the Sonos app.
Amazon. Asking it to play playlist etc..

That’s normal if you are just requesting Alexa to play one song and there are no other songs in the queue.
