Amazon music failure

set up my new Beam on Thursday last week. Loaded Alexa and Amazon Music. Initially all was well, then Amazon music wouldn’t play. Alexa said an album or radio station was playing but nothing was coming out of the Beam. Working fine on the TV. Communicated with Sonos customer service and diagnostic sent. They advised that the diagnostic showed that Amazon Music was playing, but it wasn’t. Was getting an intermittent sound like a speaker with a loose wire, but TV no problem. Rebooting the Beam usually remedied the issue but not every time. Customer service advised deleting and reinstalling Amazon app, which I did with no effect. A. Music works fine if I request it via the Sonas app. This has happened every day for past 5 days. Repeated diagnostics sent with no success. Any ideas?
