Yesterday I noticed that I cannot retrieve the metadata of an item (a track/song) via the browse method in the UPNP interface. It doesn’t give and error, it just responds with default info. To make sure I wasn’t mistaking, I tried the same on an S1 (old SW!!) only capable player (with latest S1 SW) and there it still works. Anyone seen this? I suspect a bug on one of the latest S2 variants of SW or worse, I deliberate change, but that would make no sense,
Hi, I have the optical feed stutter from my playbase. I’ve submitted diagnostics 1070387794 in case that helps. The stutter was particularly bad just before I pressed the submit diagnostics buttton. Then it was milder during the submit. It’s settled down again since and might be like this for a few hours until it randomly starts up again. I’ve replaced the optical cable without making any improvement. What else could be causing this? ThanksMark.
Hello,I bought a new LG OLED C2 (OLED65C2PUA, 2022) and new Sonos products including the Arc+Sub+One SLs, and a Beam (Gen 2) for another room. The firmware for all the products have been updated to the latest version. However, I noticed that there would not be any sound with eARC enabled, and while there would be sound with eARC disabled, it would skip every other second. This happens whether with the Arc or Beam. The only time it would not skip is when I turn on PCM, but PCM has no Dolby Atmos or surround sound capability.I have followed every advice I could find, including ensuring that SIMPLINK is enabled, ensuring passthrough is enabled, disconnecting and reconnecting the sound bar (I don’t have any other HDMI devices), and even factory-resetting the TV.I’m at the point where I think the TV is the problem, and I realize that the community’s experience with LG TVs have been spotty. I’m a step away from initiating a return of the TV to Amazon. But before that, has anyone tried anythin
Background:Family Room: AMP w/Sonos ONE (pair as surrounds)Backyard: Connect(gen2)Asus RT-AX82U/AX5400 RouterAfter installing new router and updating the wifi settings, the Sonos App (S2) does one of the following: 1) stays grey and doesn’t show up 2) only shows the Connect 3) Works perfectly for 3-5 seconds and then the system dissapears.I've gone in and adjusted the router settings as recommended in various help sections, turned off the auto-priority/QoS settings in the router, updated the channel to Ch6 within the 2.4 channel, did the whole direct plug ethernet cord into the amp, and ONE speaker to update the wifi information directly as recommended. Also rebooted all sonos products. The only thing working right now is the family room because it feeds audio in from the TV.Any recommendations or links would be helpful...spent the last few days becoming a fake fix-it dude. Thanks!
We recently upgraded our Playbar and Play 5 to an Arc and Sonos Move.Previously we could group our Playbar and Play 5 and listen to TV sound with no issues. However, since upgrading to the Arc and Move, when we group them and play TV sound the Move cuts in and out constantly and is unlistenable. We cant go back to our Play 5 setup as it is the original Play 5 which only works on the original Sonos app, not the upgraded version.Extremely disappointed as we cannot use the Move for the reason we purchased it >/ Diagnostic report: 1632836691
Both my MacBook Pro and Megaseg (DJ software) “see” the Bluetooth connection, but there is nothing coming out of the speaker. When I disconnect the Bluetooth, the internal speakers cut in and work fine.Does the speaker need to be disconnected / isolated from wifi in order to engage bluetooth? Is the bluetooth confused by other connections (phone, iPad etc) ?
I have a sonos Roam in my Sonos systems and it is literally a pain to use. Every time I power it on it does not show up in the app and needs to be factory reset and re-added.The factory reset and re-add its also hit and miss and almost always i need to do the process 3-5 times until it show up and can be used. This is what I just went through the other day when i wanted to use it:Power on Roam Wait for 5 mins and it did not show up in the app even-though it was on Factory reset and re add Got stuck in connecting to wifi for 10 mins Factory reset and re add again Now it connected but in the app it showed up not configured and no option to fix it Factory reset and re add again Got stuck connecting to wifi again Factory reset and re add again Finally it connected and i could play music (30+ mins later) When i was done i powered it off fully since otherwise it eats the battery in 1-2 day when sleeping I also charged it so battery is 100% This was Saturday afternoon. Today when i powered it
I have a very annoying ’problem’ with my Sonos speakers, that I’d previously spent ~£500 to remedy this ‘1st world problem’ by buying a 2 bay NAS with SSD’s.Unfortunately, I’ve had to RMA one of the SSDs so I’m back to relying on my NAS’ with mechanical drives for the time being … so re-encountering this lovely ‘feature’ that is just downright annoying. To explain and set the scene …I add a folder of music from the NAS, say a 12 track album, then play the album ...If the Sonos has to wait for the NAS to wake up, it’ll fails to play the first handful of songs, claiming can’t connect/lost connection and yet happily plays the rest of the album in the same folder on the same bloody NAS!!! Those ‘missing’ tracks are then completely unavailable to the Sonos now!You have to physically yank the power cable for this situation to remedy even when the NAS is fully awake, as the Sonos refuses to accept that the ‘missing’ songs are there/playable.I have 5x Play 5’s and 1x Play 3 set up in 3 ‘groups’
I have a selection of Sonos speakers.2 Fives, 4 play onesPlus 2 bridgesAll are old and can only operate under S1.Each device is hardwired into my network and each has a static IP address.I suffer with multiple dropouts, mostly with streamed radio.Groups fall apart, and have to be remade or alternatively everything just stops. With the upgrade discount I can replace all this kit with the latest versions, I’m just not sure the problems will go away!!Any thoughts?
Hi all! I feel I've tried a million things to get my surround system up and running, but I haven't succeeded. The error message I get is this: "There was a problem adding your surrounds. Check the network connection and make sure your products are powered on". I have the following products:Arc One One SL All three works individually, and the two Ones work as a stereo pair. I've tried rebooting speakers and wifi without any luck. I've also tried factory resetting without any luck. I've researched quite a lot but haven't found any fixes. As far as I understand, some Sonos issues are due to the router, but without knowing what the issue is, in my case, it seems overkill to buy a new one, especially if it doesn't solve the problem. I've sent diagnostics if this helps in any way (Sonos support): 2049259484
I have an arc soundbar, two, one sl rears, and a gen 3 sub. When Dolby Digital plus surround is available, I get an audio delay compared to video, i.e. lip sync issue. Slowing the audio will make it worse. I am using a 2019 Samsung that only has HDMI ARC. I’ve tried many settings on the tv with no success. Any ideas? Do I need a TV with eARC due to high data transmission requirements?

I need to use some of my speakers (x2 Play 5, Gen 1) on the S1 app and also have a Playbar on the same system - which i just use as a standalone speaker for a different room. However, I also have x2 Play 1 speakers and a Beam (gen 1) which I'm currently using on the S2 app.The problem is that when I open the S1 app to use with speakers in some of my rooms, I get an annoying popup telling me that I can use the S2 app with these speakers - but may first need to upgrade them to latest software (that seems to be wrong - they're incompatible). There is no way to close this popup screen and so I can't actually use my sound system. It's driving me crazy. Can anyone help with this?
I am so over my Sonos system. I’m very frustrated with what shouldn’t be so difficult to figure out.I got my Sonos Playbar, Sub and 2 speakers Jan of 2020. Last year in September, I moved to a new place with new router, etc. In my new house I setup a Ubiquiti UMD Pro with a switcher and 3 WPs attached to the switcher. When I go into my App, my account, system and services&voice are grayed out. When I try to Select your Product and it searches for nearby products, I get nothing. Devices are plugged in and on. When I select join nearby system it says “We can’t find a Sonos system on (wifi network name). Did you make changes to your router or network settings.” When I go through the process and try to find a system, it says Sonos not found. Make sure you’re signed in and your mobile device is connected to the internet an don the same WiFI as Sonos. This is extremely frustrating and I can’t find a solution.
I just bought an entirely new set up for our living room. I have heard awesome things about Sonos, so I decided to spend the extra money on the Beam and Sub. I got home and was entirely thrilled to set up my new outfit.. I found that when I watched normal cable (we have Spectrum) that there is a lip sync/audio delay issue.. The beam is connected to eARC, and TV’s/Sonos delay settings are set to “0,” but I still have a slight lip sync issue.. It is driving me NUTS, enough to take both the soundbar back to the store. Apparently I am not the only one with this issue, and I have tried most of the recommended troubleshooting techniques such as setting the audio to “pass-through,” enabling eARC, lowering audio delay to 0, resetting both TV and Sonos. Can someone for the life of me provide a solution?
Hi Everyone, working with a friend of mine to find a solution for him. Currently he’s using a Denon Receiver with which have inputs of an Apple TV, Cable Box and DVD Player then a single output to the TV through HDMI. Then when he wants to use the headphones he plugs the audio cable into the front of the receiver to push audio to the Headphones. The Denon is beginning to have some audio issues so we’re coming up with another solution… Remove the Denon and the DVD player since it’s never used. Apple TV and Cable Box run through separate HDMI to the TV with eARC from the Samsung TV out to the Sonos ARC. The TV has an Optical out which we could run to the base of the Sennheiser RS175. What would be the best way to hook this up? He doesn’t want audio to come out of both ARC and Headphones, but have the option to choose one or the other. Thank you!
Slowly but surely over the last few years Sonos as a platform has really gone downhill to the point where im considering looking for an alternative to replace my system. Here’s just a few of my gripes: The failure to move away from SMB1 and the security flaws therein I’ve moved a pair of Sone Ones from my bedroom to the lounge and renamed them, but every time I go back into the app the speakers rename themselves back to master bedroom Album artwork hardly ever shows in the app Playlists will disappear from view for weeks on end then randomly show up for a couple of days only to disappear again. That’s not specific playlists, it’s the actual playlists section completely disappears from the star section of the app New albums are added to my network share but no matter how many times I update music library they don’t appear, then couple weeks later they’ll magically appear We have a Play 1 in the nursery which plays lullabies to our child at bedtime, the same songs were queued on the devi
I got my karaoke setup to work well, but I don’t want to keep unplugging the input into the Beam whenever I’m switching between watching tv vs. singing karaoke.Regular TV Setup: SmartTv => Beam via HDMI eARCKaraoke setup: SmartTv => Mixer via HDMI eARC; Mixer => Beam via Optical&HDMI adapterIs there a way to keep these both set up simultaneously by using two switches to flip between the signals? For example:SmartTv=>switch=>Beam or Mixer… then I’d need another switch just before the Beam to flip between the SmartTV signal (that passes through first switch) or the Mixer signal.
Hi everyone, After working for weeks, my Sonos Arc won't connect to my LG C1. The HDMI is the official one.I'm using the correct HDMI port. All settings are correct , and I've turned everything problematic off. Nothing will get me past the testing connection screen. I've factory reset my TV and my ARC and tried just about everything but I'm at a huge loss for what to do next. Any guidance you can provide would be hugely appreciated.
My Playbase suddenly failed to connect to the rest of my system. I have tried to reset, and it is unable to be found. It works with a wired connection, so seems to be a WiFi issue. I have read a bunch of similar problems with the Playbase at the community. Any recommendations? Diagnostic number: 1113609003
