Hi everyone, First of all : all the problems described below don't exist on my Mac, they only come on my iPad AND iPhone (iOS 10.1.1, controller v. 6.4.8). What I already tried :

Uninstall and install the App
Reset the Controller
Factory reset of the entire Sonos system
without success.
I've had my sonos system for several years but recently I've had serious problems with playback. Tracks constantly pause and skip and then I usually get a message saying "insufficient network speed to maintain playback buffer". Yesterday I connected my zp100 to the router with ethernet via a home plug and disabled WiFi as described in the following link but it still persists: https://bsteiner.info/articles/disabling-sonos-wifi Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks Jon
We live in New Orleans in a 140 year old home, yes its historic and I wouldn't dream of removing any of the original plaster to install recessed lighting or wall / ceiling speakers in the main part of the house... However...termite problems caused a MAJOR remodel of the servants quarters and we opened up walls to make a family room / kitchen area... We use the Play5 and Play3 speakers in the front part of the house and they work great... In the renovated part we installed ceiling speakers and have two zones, which we will call "Kitchen" (3 truaudio ceiling mount speakers) and "Family Room" (2 truaudio ceiling mount speakers + subwoofer) Question.....? How do I achieve the following.... (At the present, I have no idea how to wire, though I think I have all the needed equipment) - (see below for detailed list) 1. When we are watching TV, Movies, etc... I only want the "Family Room" speakers + subwoofer to work, and not the "Kitchen" speakers - 2. When we are entertaining, I want
Hooked my play bar up with sky q today When I go to use radio on my play bar I get this message on my sonos app This will stop tv audio in living room do you want to continue If I press yes music plays fine however when I try and go back to the tv the sound has disappeared I then need to go into the tv menu to assign the sound bar again to get sound on the tv Is there anyway I can play the music without this happening
Hi, I have been trying to register my sonos devices to my email address, but they are already registered to another email address I believe they are linked to an old bt.com email address that i used for compatibility testing at work many years ago, i dont remember this and also dont have access to the email so would be unable to reset password using this address Looking at other posts on here it says i would need to factory reset devices and set up again from scratch, is there any way around this as i dont really want to be factory resetting my whole system just to link to my email address, there must be someway of doing this Cheers Mick
I have a sound bar and sub linked to the main TV, with two play 1s used for the secondary TV (all connected through a boost). When agrouped to the indoor tv the sound from the play 1s drop out for 1-2 seconds on a regular basis? Trying to work out the reason for this (the distance between all devices is approx 10 metres)
I have a 4 speakers in total. Update kept failing returning error 30. I unplugged all except 1 play 1 and connected it directly to switch instead of wireless. Still fails with error 30. Checking /tmp/upgrade.log i noticed this url: http://update-firmware.sonos.com/firmware/beta/34.7-35161-v7.0-gagiar-RC1/34.7-35131-1-8.upd (query string removed) returning this error: Upgrade failed: (30) network read I/O error A previous update URL works fine. e.g. http://update-firmware.sonos.com/firmware/beta/34.7-34220-v7.0-ptfcwf-Beta3/34.7-34220-1-8.upd Either the supplied query string is failing to pass some check to get the file or the URL is wrong. Can you check please?
Hi, My SONOS system is currently giving me fits. I get frequent dropouts when listening to my fav radio stations, Apple Music and Tidal. I also keep having to regroup my speaker sets. The rest of the house (computers, iPads and my TV, SONOS Soundbar) are all working fine. I am a Comcast user: Arris TM722 modem and I have upgraded all my Apple Airport gear to a full set of Eero Wireless. I have three Sonos Connect Amps and one SONOS Connect (wired into my stereo receiver and directly connected to my network with an ethernet cable). This all mostly world very well until recently. What should I do here? Thanks, Max
I have a sonos bridge and 2 sonos 1. Every now an then the music stops playing and when I look in the sonos app it can only find one of my players. I connect the other one and group them again. I start the music and 5 min. later the music stops again. I have tried to reboot everything - the players, the bridge, my router, my modem - everything. It is also happening with only one of the players playing. It used to work fine, but has changed to this overnight. I have tried to change my Sonos to channel 11 and router to channel 1, moved my bridge away from my router. But it din't help. What to do?
I want to use the Play1 standalone when I travelling. Quite often in 'modern' hotels you can only access their wifi when not only password but also a username needs to be inserted. In this way I cannot setup the Play1 without additional equipment. I have quite often taken a spare wifi-router and mini-NAS with USB connection and mass storage with me to arrange access to music and get control (without being connected to the internet), but this is extra weight, and basically needs to be pre-configured before travelling, and therefore extra hassle. Is there a simpler way to get access to a USB stick with music and preferrably also Bluetooth? How about Arduino and/or Raspberry Pi, or are there better/easier devices to be used, hopefully with additional functionallity?
Hello, Up until a few weeks ago I was able to use my playbard and my two play3s connected in surround for my living room. Now the two Play3s are disconnected and both refuse to connected back to my network. I have already tried as many troubleshooting steps as I could find, I have reset the controller multiple times, I have also reset both speakers and the playbar. I have tested both the iOS sonos application and the sonos windows desktop application and both are having issues. Sometimes I can add one of the two Play3 speakers but after a short period of time it ends up disconnecting. I have already attempted to contact support once with this issue but nothing was resolved. I have also submitted diagnostics from the windows application (6739569). Thanks!
Hey All - I have a hottub that has built in bluetooth speakers. I am wondering if anyone has tried using a Sonos Connect with a Bluetooth transmitter to send the Sonos to bluetooth speakers. If so I would love to know what bluetooth transmitter you used and if there are any tips/tricks. Thanks! Ryan
Greetings, I don't normally post on here, so I apologise if I'm in the wrong place. I currently switched over from Windows 7 to Linux Mint 16. Are Sonos planning to modify the Sonos Desktop Controller for use in Linux? Can you do this already? If so, how do I go about this? Thanks :)
Sonos play1 worked flawlessly for the almost year since i'd had it! All of a sudden it stopped connecting and nothing, nothing has changed on my router's end. Comcast said there's an issue with our home schcurity system, but that shouldn't affect it? Nothing i try works. Powering off/on, granted i've not powered off/on the modem peeing that everything else works elsewhere. And, i had to change my sonos password today. Any chance that's related somehow? Thanks for all the help!
Equipment - Sonos playbar, sub, xbox one, Arrias cable box, western digital MP, Optoma projector, 4 x 1 HDMI switch with toslink/optical audio output. I have been running this system for a couple years and worked fine until halloween. I disconnected and relocated the projector, switch and media player for special effects for halloween. One problem I know for sure is that I did power up the switch with the wrong ac adapter (higher voltage). Went to rehook system after halloween was over and nothing seemed to work. Logically, I assumed I fried something in the switch and bought a new one. New one was same manufacturer but a 6 x 1 (all they had at Memory Express). Hooked it up and exact same problem. Problem is that the cable box has to bypass switch completely (direct hdmi to projector and optical to playbar). I powerup xbox and the HDMI works through switch but optical has to be direct from xbox to playbar. The game I typically play on xbox is NHL17 and as soon as I try to
I have a home theatre, setup the Play bar sub and both LS and RS. All works except the RS Play 1 wireless ...??? wired it works. The channel on my router is 10 the Sonos system is on 1 it is not on auto channel. Have tried different router just to troubleshoot same issue persists. Bothe mobile and desktop controller has this RS as a ?. Please help the only thing I have not tried is a factory reset.
Hi everyone, I have a bar and play:3 system installed in my house which had been working perfectly fine until recently. I have under my google account a subscription to google music which is added on sonos. From my phone, I can access the google music service via the sonos app, search the libraries, everything works fine. My wife however cannot access the service via the sonos app. It says "unable to browse music - there was a problem connecting to Google Play Music." She used to be able to browse for music but it recently stopped working - perhaps an app update? She has an iphone. She does have another google account on her phone. Is this what is causing this and how may I work around it? She has the google play app on her phone logged in with my details and that is working fine. Thanks for the help!
Hi all, I bought a Play 3 on Sunday, connected it up wirelessly and all works well playing iTunes from my iPhone. The sound is quite impressive for the size! I then tried to connect it the same way to my iMac so when I watch a movie on it I can enjoy they new speaker, this is where i am having a problem. How do you do this? I tried repeating the same steps but to no avail as it already knows it has been set up. I know it is on my network as my Amazon Echo's and Smart Things can find it and utilise it, just not my iMac. What am I doing wrong? Can someone please help me out? Thanks
Hi, since the last update the volume control in my Sonos system has been working erratically. Sometimes I am not able to control the volume from the lock screen or in the control center (the one you swipe at the bottom of the screen), I have checked and it is the only app open so it is not that it is being used by something else. Any suggestions?
I have connected my Foxtel IQ box to the Ethernet port on my playbar, in an attempt to use Foxtel OnDemand. The Foxtel box cannot find a network connection. I have tried DHCP reset, and tried manually entering network info but not exactly sure if I'm entering correct details. Any advice would be welcome.
