Marantz amplifier with Bowers & Wilkins Sub

Hi - I have the following setup and very much interested in extending my system with PLAY:1. I used to be in-ceiling speakers which I lost after I moved. Will it be possible to buy multiple PLAY:1 with a couple of goals in mind (1) create a 5:1 setup in my family room (using PLAY speakers and one B&W sub) as home theater, and (2) extend the system using PLAY to stream music from Marantz amplifier? Below are my specs: 1. Marantz amp connected to my Samsung 55" 2. B&W Sub to be connected to Marantz HELP! Thank you!

New TV. Playbar works, but my two 5's are silent

I'm frustrated. I purchased a new TV today, and my Sonos system is not working properly. I have the Playbar optically connected to the TV and it works fine. However, there is no sound coming from my two 5 speakers. Even though there is no sound, if I click on the buttons on the side of either of the 5's, it increases/decreases the volume on the Playbar. So, they ARE paired, I'm just not getting any sound at all. Yes, I have gone in the app and raised the volume of the surrounds. I also do not get any sound when playing music. I'm at a complete loss.

Using sonos on vacation - amazon music not working

I'm out of town for 2 weeks. Brought my sonos speaker, and I have been able to connect the speaker to the wireless network. I can play songs that are on my laptop, but amazon streaming does not work (or any other streaming service for that matter). It says 'Unable to add songs to the queue'. I have tried to 're-authorize' the amazon account - Sonos claims that it has been done, but no change in ability to stream songs.

Received a Sonos with house purchase - cannot connect

I recently bought a house with installed Sonos systems and establish a connection to them. There are four installed systems 3 x Zone Play ZP2100 1 x Zone Play ZP90 (And I have found another ZP90 that is not currently installed.) In all cases these units are Ethernet hard wired back to the router. I can see all four units have IP addresses allocated on the router. (and when I do the two button thing, their status changes from INACTIVE to ACTIVE at the router). I cannot connect to the system. What I've tried: 1. Installing the Windows Controller Software and connecting that way 2. Downloading the iOS app and connecting that way In both cases, I select "connect to an existing system" , they do not see any Sonos devices, and then ask me to do the two button push on the front, which causes a slow orange blink, still no success in finding the unit. I've tried the other troubleshooting methods from the website (unplug and reboot, reboot the router, etc.)

Aux to Ethernet Adapter Play 1

I'm interested in a Play1 but would prefer to have the speaker with an aux input so that it's more versatile. Is there a aux to Ethernet adapter that would allow me to plug aux input? A quick amazon search shows male aux to female Ethernet, so maybe with a few more adapters it could work.

Hi, What are the differences between Sonos Bridge and Sonos Boost ? It seems that Boost is more recent that Bridge, but Bridge can still be found on the market. Both have the role of creating a specific Sonos WiFi network, isn't it ? So are there any difference in ... - Supported WiFi bands ? - Power ? - Any other difference ? Thanks in advance, Phil

Why does my controller lose the group settings?

I have the controller loaded on my ipad and Mac. Both are running the latest version. My ipad controller keeps losing one or more members of the group. I have three units that are defined, and grouped. Each time I start up the controller it has lost one or two components of the group, but they are still available to regroup.

Cannot pair PLAYBAR with Play:1 or set up BOOST

I have a PLAYBAR successfully connected to my TV via an optical cable. I purchased a brand new BOOST. I have connected it to my Netgear router via the Ethernet cable provider. When I follow the installation instructions the light flashes amber immediately after I press the button on the side of the device. I've turned the device and my router on/off, to no avail. I cannot successfully connect the BOOST. I purchased two new Play:1 speakers. I originally managed to pair both the Play:1 speakers and could play music via Spotify - confirming they they work. I then tried to follow the instructions to pair it with my PLAYBAR. It failed multiple times. The things I observed were: > One speaker would pair, but it would fail to pair both speakers. Which ever speaker I pressed the Play/Pause and + button would pair. > Overall pairing would fail as both speakers wouldn't connect. > Afer multiple atttempts my app wouldn't connect. > I cannot connect both speakers in another room > Wir

Unable to add shared folder

Hi all, hoping for some help please. Recently purchased sonos 1 - I can play all my music from my ipad with no issues (using iTunes) But when I try to manage my music library - i get an error - unable to add shared folder \\Jane\Music to your music library (1002). I have tried to add with both the Symantec f/wall enabled and disabled - error is the same. Thanks.

Library not available

Hi, I would like to add my Itunes library to the Sonos player on my Macbook, but I get the following error: '//Lou-3/Music3' is no longer available. The device where the music files are stored may not be powered on, or the path may have changed. Go to Manage > Music Library Settings to check the path name.' submitted a diagnostics: #6767394. At the Music Library settings there is no path to the music files. The path hasn't been changed as the files are just on my harddisk. Can someone from Sonos help me with this problem. I've looked at other suggested solutions like, uninstalling the Sonos app, adjusting the sharing settings in Itunes. Cheers, Louis

Dropouts and missing speakers

I've had my system for a year and it played flawlessly for that time. I have (6) play 1 - a play 5 and a play 3. The first one is within 10 feet of my high speed fiber internet router. They are all within 20 feet of another one. I control with iphone 6S and Sonos is updated, phone is updated, app is updated. I have uninstalled app, uninstalled system, and rebooted phone and system. Nothing works. Most times I open app, there is only 1 or 2 speakers showing. Any ideas, anyone? It worked flawlessly until the last 2 months. I find myself not even using it and wanting to sell and buy Bose. Please help. I want to keep it and have it like it was. Thanks for your help.

Play 3's Cutting Out

I'm sure this question is rather common, but there is a lot of interference with the stream. My WIFI is strong and I've never had this issue before. Mainly, the one Play 3 in my family room is experiencing the problem, not really any others. 110464389 is my Sonos ID. 67661762 is my diagnostics number. Thank you,

Cannot Group Rooms - iOS app

I am able to see all rooms in the rooms list. All rooms have a "Group" button available. [img]e4e6e7b2-2edc-4c71-afe5-5d599df45fe1.png[/img] When I select "Group" for one of the rooms, it takes me to a separate screen where I should be able to select the two rooms to group. However, when I arrive to the page, the app appears unable to list both rooms so that they can be grouped. One Sonos out of three fails to play local FLAC tracs

Hi All, I'm wondering where to start with this... We've recently got our three ZP100 Sonos units back out of storage after a house rebuild and one of the units is failing to play our music collection. Two of the units should be hard-wired to the network and one operates wireless. Currently the wireless unit and one of the wired units works fine but the third in the lounge just seems to skip over the tracks when trying to play a album in the desktop controller. If I try to play one song the controller shows a message "unable to play 'xxxx' the song is not encoded correctly". If I try to play this song on any of the other units it's fine...? The failing ZP100 is located in a cabinet under our TV and next to an XBox which is similar to how it was before the house renovation project when it seemed to work fine. The failing unit is happy streaming content via Apple Music or via the TuneIn radio service - just not from our local NAS (again hard wired into the network) Ca

Sonos app not allowing Apple Music to play

Diagnostic number: 6730912 Bought a new Sonos amp today and hooked it up to my speakers. I was told sonos was great at streaming music from Apple Music which I use. Set up is complete, sonos app downloaded onto iPad and iPhone, my Apple Music account is linked ok to sonos app. Sound can be played through my speakers from the Sonos app using TuneIn. However using the "On the iPad/iPhone" section, only podcasts can be viewed and played, no music or playlist etc are visible. Using Apple Music section on the Sonos app I can see all my songs, playlist etc as I would normally on the Music app itself however nothing will play. It tries then skips straight to the next song, it attempts this 4 or 5 times and then I get the onscreen message "We have encountered a problem. Try again later." Apple Music radio does not play either. It seems like there is a block or restriction somewhere. I have tried to find the solution to this problem all day with no success. I have reinstall

Surround Play 1's Cutting Out

I have a PlayBar, Sub & 2 Surround Play 1's. While watching Sky & Netflix my back play 1's cut out occasionally for 10 seconds or so and can't work out why. My wireless is on a different channel to my router. I have uploaded diagnostics.. Number is 6558087.

no option to add service (on iphone)

i have sonos controller 7 (beta) and i cannot add apple music service (ask to use sonos app on my iphone) in my sonos app(iphone) version 6.4.8, i cannot add my apple music service. they are no option appear on the app. 1- i did all the updates and the iphone app still the version 6.4.8 and not the 7 2- i can add any other service, but not the apple music service. 3- today sonos resolve the error 9 but still issues. here my diag confirmation: 6770909

Sleep timer cutting out after a few minutes

Recently when I've been nodding off with the sleep timer playing relaxing music, it abruptly stops after about 7 minutes of playback. Far sooner than the timer. Does anyone else experience this and have advice on what the bug is?

Can´t add music library

Hi, Sonos Play:5 wireless connection through Thomson router. can´t add local music library using Desktop Sonos Controller (Windows 10). Keep getting "The computer "XXXXX" cannot be found". Already tried this with no success https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/692?_ga=1.25760445.1291639924.1476652004. Tried with both windows firewall and router firewall turned off and still the same error. Can stream radio and soundcloud through Controller and mp3 files through windows homegroup without any issues. Help much appreciated.

Network connection issues

I've had my sonos system for several years but recently I've had serious problems with playback. Tracks constantly pause and skip and then I usually get a message saying "insufficient network speed to maintain playback buffer". Yesterday I connected my zp100 to the router with ethernet via a home plug and disabled WiFi as described in the following link but it still persists: https://bsteiner.info/articles/disabling-sonos-wifi Any suggestions on how to fix this? Using Sonos play3, and play5 with wired ceiling speakers to make up a home entertainment system

We live in New Orleans in a 140 year old home, yes its historic and I wouldn't dream of removing any of the original plaster to install recessed lighting or wall / ceiling speakers in the main part of the house... However...termite problems caused a MAJOR remodel of the servants quarters and we opened up walls to make a family room / kitchen area... We use the Play5 and Play3 speakers in the front part of the house and they work great... In the renovated part we installed ceiling speakers and have two zones, which we will call "Kitchen" (3 truaudio ceiling mount speakers) and "Family Room" (2 truaudio ceiling mount speakers + subwoofer) Question.....? How do I achieve the following.... (At the present, I have no idea how to wire, though I think I have all the needed equipment) - (see below for detailed list) 1. When we are watching TV, Movies, etc... I only want the "Family Room" speakers + subwoofer to work, and not the "Kitchen" speakers - 2. When we are entertaining, I want
