I’ve seen a few similar threads but haven’t been able to find a recent one or one with a solution that works. I have a Sony TV, PS4 and Sonos Beam and they have worked without any issues for about 5 years. I have not changed a thing in the set up but this week the sound switches from the Beam to the TV and when I try and change it back I get an HMDI conflict message. If I unplug the PS4 hdmi then I can set up the Beam again, but as soon as I plug the PS4 back in it has another conflict. I’ve tried turning everything off and back on, and also changing HDMI leads but neither solve the issue.Does anyone know why this has started happening and have any ideas on how to fix it?
I have the Sonos arc working great for both music and tv. The Sonos one sls play through music in surround just fine, but I can’t seem to get tv sound to play to speakers, it only comes through soundbar. I have tried to add them as surround. any advice or tips?
We got a new router, and have followed ALL instructions (connected by ethernet and got them working) but they refuse to setup wirelessly - My phone tries to connect to the temp SONOS wifi, but next step fails - they can’t be seen on it… and there are no clear instructions anywhere for what to do. Before I sell them and never use Sonos again, would really appreciate some help, thanks in advance
Ok. I’ve seen many old posts regarding random soft bong sound coming from Arc. Keeping it simple… my Arc has never been connected to my TV. I use the Eero Pro WiFi that has performed extremely well. I use Alexa only on my Sonos devices. Sound tone happens when not using Sonos for 24 hrs. Seems like real issue that has not adequately been addressed by Sonos. I’m regretting my $2k purchase and afraid to mount this device. Please help. B
I need help troubleshooting an annoying issue with our Sonos setup. We have 9 different Sonos units: 3 Ones, 1 One SL, 1 Five, 3 Playbars (one with a sub, one with two side speakers). It seems like every few months the system starts to bug out, music won't play on the speakers I try to play it on, for example, I'll select Dining Rooms 1, 2 and 3 to play music, the app will show music playing on all 3 but it'll only be playing on one or two of them. I'll start to get get error messages trying to play music from pandora "Not authorized to play pandora" despite it working every other time. Error messages from music off Napster. Sonos will start playing the song, then give me a "not authorized" message and skip to the next song, just to repeat each song it's skipped to.The only way to fix this is to go and unplug every Sonos unit, restart my internet, then go plug all the Sonos back in. This only solves the issue for a few months when all the above issues start up again and I have to reset
Had a beam and Ones set up beautifully with a decent tv for a couple of years without any issue. This week, for no apparent reason, certain channels won’t play sound. All ITV channels for example, even ones in HD are silent. BBC fine. Netflix went silent but I’ve fixed that I think. I’ve updated the Sony tv, no change. I’ve changed all available audio output channels. PCM silent. Audio 1 digital option works, audio 2 doesn’t. I’ve checked all cables. Fine. Music is fine. I’m utterly flummoxed. Any help gratefully received. It’s not the end of the world but the kids are annoyed. it’s a Sony 4K tv.
I’ve had Sonos for 6 years. The first 5 years it worked perfectly, then it started having major dropouts, skipping, and had a 30-60 second delay when I hit play to start a new song.I assumed it was my 1st gen speakers so I upgraded everything (5 rooms, one Gen. 2 Fives, the rest One SL) - and the problem got worse! I can get through maybe 2 songs max before it skips and drops.I have spent tons of time with Sonos customer service, hired an IT firm to rework my wireless system. I even bought an extra One SL so plug into my router. That helped for maybe a week, then my system went back to problems.A quick google search tells you this is a very common problem - and that Sonos ignores it, does nothing to fix it.What’s it going to take - maybe a class action lawsuit for all the people who’ve spent good money on their speakers and had a bad experience?
We bought the FIVE + Pro-Ject T1 SB package, but the packaging on the turntable was poor. Didn’t realise it came from a separate company. Counter balance was loose and damaged the arm. Have sent back for refund as couldn’t get an exchange - to Poland!! Shame no UK return address. Anyone had similar issues? Am I safe to buy another one? ...in contrast, the packaging on the FIVE was the best I’ve ever seen!! 😄
Out of the blue my surround setup started humming during tv play back only connected via optical input. It changes to a buzz of changing input type to pcm. Noise changes based on how control sees the sound. No buzz when using Dolby 1.0 starts when it switches to 2.0 Diagnostic number 1730440927.
Same as : Only happens on my 3 Sonos devices, and happens on all 3, Google devices work fine.“Hey google, set an alarm for 7am”“Ok, alarm set for 7am”“Hey google, cancel my alarm”“Ok, your alarm for 5am has been cancelled” “Hey google, what time is it?...responds with correct timeAlarm also goes off at desired time.
Hi alli know there are a number of queries on Connect dropping off a network and I have read the majority. Following advice I bought a Boost, set it up, I see all my speakers and the Connect have WM:0 against them….Connect still dropping off after a minute or 2. I have tried all 3 channels, 1 is the worst, 6 & 11 about the sameAm I looking at a faulty Connect?
OK, so I have a Velop Mesh system (3 nodes) 2 Play 1’s, Play 3 and a Play One.I’ve read many posts about this but still can’t get a clear answer. The access to each device depends on which room I am in and the house, and still can’t get any grouping to work.Is there a simple solution (ideally other than buying Boost!) and even then I’m not sure that will work...will it?!
I’ve read all the other forum posts related to this topic and couldn’t find a resolution. Sonos, please help us out here! When I Airplay movies and shows from my 2020 iMac to my Apple TV to my Sonos speakers, it works great. I get picture and sound. Wonderful. When I try to use Airplay screen mirroring to do the same, I get picture, but no sound. It doesn’t matter what device I try (2013 MacBook, 2020 iMac, iPhones, iPad…), I get picture but no sound. I have hung onto my clunky old wired speakers for this reason. Why do I still have to use my old junk speakers half the time when I have my nice new expensive Sonos speakers? Please help!
Sonos connect unit was working in the morning but when we returned from a walk it wasn’t visible on the app and none of the lights were visible on the unit.Tried a different power lead. Still no lights and No action.Moved a connect from a diffenent room into its spot and it worked fine.Any ideas or am I the owner of a dead Sonos connect?thanks
I have two play 5s (gen 1), one play 1, a playbar and a sub. I’ve just put in a new WiFi router because of other issues and had to reinstall all my Sonos speakers. All speakers now work but strangely my playbar would only reinstall with an Ethernet connection and a hard reset. It works fine with tv and sub which is the important thing, but once Ethernet cable is removed it does not appear in my app. When cable goes back in it still does not appear. It only appears immediately after a hard reset (holding button down when plugging in and adding as a new product), reinstall and the cable plugged in. It’s as if it can’t connect wirelessly anymore and once the is cable removed the first time it stays invisible to the app (tv still works fine). There were no issues previously. The router has the same password as previously. Any ideas to make it reappear on my app again?! Thanks in advance
