Hi - For weeks I've been getting 'unable to play XXX - Connection to Spotify was lost' errors. I've reset everything but no luck and does not sound like an easy fix. Note the radio does work, however the sound quality is fairly poor. Could be related? Otherwise, internet is working fine. Please help! Diagnostic - 6422446
Hardly advanced but cannot see any means to do this automatically. I want to play from an existing queue, at a set time each day for an hour. The alarm would be the obvious tool but it does not allow playing from the existing queue. It has to be the existing queue as I want to continue playing from a very large playlist that is set on repeat and want to continue where it stopped on the previous day. Any bright ideas?
For no apparent reason, my Sonos system and my iMac have stopped communicating. When I attempt to play something, I just get an error returned suggesting that the path to my music files may have changed. They haven't so I'm at a loss as to the cause and how to solve the problem. Any suggestions welcome. Steve
Did anyone try it? will it work? Sonos suggest to by pass the AV receiver with all components in to TV and Optical out to Play bar..... I am just trying to de-clutter my living room with the a play bar, sub & play 3 to replace my 5.1 speakers. and of course sync with my other sonos products around the house. will it works?
I have dead spots at the bottom and obviously am not able to access certain functions. I have contacted sonos support and their solution is to send the controller in and they will send me a refurbished controller at a reduced cost because my warranty has expired. I don't have the money to keep replacing controllers. Resets don't work neither does removing the battery?
Hi, First post for me in 3 years.... But first problem I've bought à couple of years à zp120 with à cr200 controler. I never use controler because soft on my phone was perfect. But now i want to place back my cr200 to put in a new place. When i connect it to the system they ask me to pu date it in 4.3. Wat can i do because my controler is really new state... But no more under warranty... I already remove and replace battery and put controler in craddle but nothing change Thanks for your help Nicolas
How to receive a notification (or whatever) when the volume is changed by any client on the network. I am ok in opening a socket, which seems to be the way it travels over the network but I don't know what the frame will look like. I can control many functions of my Sonos using the POST apis. That is one thing that I can't figure out. Any help on the matter is much appreciated! thx
Hi All, I have not had this issue before unless I had been using my Spotify account on another device. My sonos is unable to connect to my Spotify and play any of the tracks. I have removed the service and reauthorised it, however I am still getting the issue. I have tested that I can use the spotify service on my other devices and they have no issue. I have tested if it is isolated to Spotify service which it is. Tunein Radio works fine for example. I have factory reset my Sonos Play:1 and it still has this issue. I change my connection from Wi-Fi to Wired even, and still no change. I'll appreciate any report on the status of Sonos to Spotify connectivity.
I've been trying to add my music library, which lives on an external RAID volume connected to my Mac. Followed all the steps, and the result I get is "Error. Sonos was unable to add the music folder. Sonos was not able to start the music library server because your players are not compatible. Please check for updates." I tried googling "because your players are not compatible" and get very little luck. The guided diagnostics gives me nothing to go on because there is no error code. My diagnostic code is 4846680. Any help would be much appreciated.
i want to use sonos in a presentation setting. Currently i have a microphone connected to a mixer, and the mixer connected to an amplifier wired with speakers. I want to replace the wired speakers with wireless speakers. I don't have internet network. Is it possible with sonos? If so, what sonos equipments do I need to buy to accomplish what I want?
I've used my Sonos Play 1 System for about 6 months now, with no troubles adding and playing music off my Music Library that I have downloaded on my Mac. Just today, this problem came about when I tried to play music off my Sonos App Controller as per usual. It would not find nor recognise my computer when I tried to configure the Music File I have set it to. I have tried re-installing my SONOS controller for my Mac, changing my firewall settings to allow the SONOS system, restarting my Wireless Router, everything that they say on other forums to do to fix the problem, but I continue to have the same issue. I have submitted my Support Diagnostics, the confirmation number is 6660351. Please respond so I can fix the issue promptly, as it feels that SONOS may have not been the best speaker for me through the technical difficulties.
I hope someone can advise me on them best approach for connecting my record layer to my stereo Play:3 setup. I have a pre-amp for my record player and since the play:3 speakers are already active with built in amp, do I need to run the line signal from the pre-amp through a Sonos Connect or connect amp? Seems logical to me that I wouldn't need the connect amp since the speakers are already active? Not sure. It's pricey so I want to get it right. Many thanks!!!
I've succeeded in getting my Sonos to play from ITunes on my NAS, but I could not see any of my playlists After reading on this forum I realised iTunes records the Playlist in the file 'iTunes Music Library.xml' Even though I run iTunes of my NAS and I've conolidated my iTunes libraries this file is located on my PC not on the NAS. So I copied it to my NAS Music folder and now I can access the playlists! Yay ... sort of. The problem with this fix is I will have to repeat the file copy every time I change iTunes playlists as the master is on PC not NAS. Hoping someone can offer a nifty solution ... ?
I have a total of 6 Play 5 speakers. 2 of them are dead. They are well out of warranty. I have I have 45 years experience as a consumer electronics technician. Since they are out of warranty, I disassembled them and verified that the main board (amplifiers and power supply) is dead, the power rails never come up.. Today I called Sonos and found out that: 1) Sonos will not supply parts or schematics 2) They will not touch them since they have been disassembled. Do i just throw them away? I honestly would have evaluated the situation differently had I known Sonos' policy. In all my years of dealing with virtually every brand of consumer electronics in America, I have not run into a situation where I couldn't buy parts for products that were reasonably new.
I have just updated to release 6.4 and have found that the folowing functions are now greyed out and cannot be selected: Add a Player or Sub Add a Boost or Bridge Music Library Settings Service Settings Add a Radio Station Update Music Library Now Which means that Sonos has become pretty useless I can no longer add music, radio stations etc. Is this a permanent feature? Can I go back to the previous release?
Hi, First-timer here. Sonos worked flawlessly out of the box for a few weeks until recently. I've been having difficulties adding songs from Apple Music's playlists to the Sonos Queue smoothly. It buffers for a very long time (1-5 mins), and 9/10 times I would just get "An error occured while adding songs to the Queue (1002)" Each playlist contains about 1-2K songs. So my workaround has been adding Apple Music's playlists to Sonos playlists, then play from there instead. This workaround has worked worked; however, I can't seem to port all playlists from Apple Music to Sonos. I would get an "Unable to add all songs in [Apple Music playlist name] to [Sonos playlist name]" for a few of them. I am able to add each song separately tho, however, that's just not practical. I've already made the following attempts to resolve the issues: 1. Change router's channel to 1 from Automatic 2. Quit all Sonos controllers on all of my devices 3. Rebooted Play:1s, Connect, as well as my router and he
I have a Playbar and SUB connected to a Samsung UHD-TV. (UE75HU7505 - firmware: 2330) My playbar will drop out 3-6 times during a 2 hour movie. This is very irritating. It happens when streaming from Mediacenter, Apple TV, and cable tuner. No difference between them. This is a TV-only problem, my other players are working fine. Can you help me troubleshoot?
