I keep getting this error message when trying to connect to my iTunes library. Solutions? Unable to play '10 You're a mean one mr Grinch.m4a' - cannot connect to //IMAC -5E518E/ Music because the server cannot be found. Music plays through computer, but not through Sonos. Like this for all songs in library.
I have 3x play1 units and the app won't play Any music at all.. I have wifi and the apps on my iPhone. I go on the radio or music and it won't play nor give the option to. I can press play on the speakers and it plays what I was last playing but can't operate the speakers through my phone. I've deleted the app and reinstalled but still no joy. Yesterday it in the morning came up with unable to connect but today nothing all day.
Hi, I've just left the Beta and My Play 1 now needs an update to downgrade, but when I try and update it fails with Error code 9. I've removed the Sonos app from my iPhone and reloaded it but this makes no difference. I've also tried an update via the Windows desktop app and this also fails. Can anyone help with resolving the error? Thanks Leo
I have 10 players and a Boost/Bridge (system is 3 years old). Ipad controller shows all players but sound only coming out of one player. This problem started about a month ago after an update. I have rebooted everything. I will get all players to play but will eventually go back to only one player. Same issue with iPhone and Mac.
I have 9 connect amps, three will not stay connected. I re-set to factory, I get the green light and confirmation. Seconds later the units begin flashing white and amber, white and amber. It does this with and without speakers connected. Like I said I have six that are working properly and all the speakers are the same make and model.
Music, from a docked ipod, plays for approx 5 minutes then stops. After I hit play, music plays again then stops. This happened all day until I gave up. I submitted a diagnostic -- the number is: 2224273. Thanks. - James
Hi, When I connect an external device to the mini-jack entry of my play 5 (second gen), I get a volume drop of about one second every 30 to 60 seconds. This is very annoying. I tried using 2 different external minijack to minijack cables and also tried with multiple sources (ipod, Mac, Pc, Android phone) but always get the same issue. I also tried with 3 different play:5 but the result is alway the same.. Anybody experienced this before? Any idea of what might be causing this? Pascal
I recently moved house. Plugged in my sonos 1 & 3 and surprisingly they set up straight away. The internet is approx 15mbps so i wanted to use them without a bridge. This set up was the only time i have ever got SONOS in list of networks whilst setting up. The router is in the same room as one of the speakers. Now they work for a few days then my apps cannot find any of my speakers. Usually after trying the set up again i get it to work again but for few days only. This time none of the speakers found, i deleted the apps and downloaded again several times but still they cannot find them. I cant even get to the more options to do a diagnostic check. I am totally frustrated as the players are sold stating bridge no longer required and and how easy they are to connect. Previously i have connected one of the speakers to the router and that didnt work. Any help appreciated
I use my Sonos system at my Yoga studio. Every time my computer goes to sleep, the Sonos Windows App loses connectivity with the network, and there's no "Refresh" button to reconnect it to the network. Instead, I have to close and reopen the App. Can you add a Refresh Button in a future release?
Greetings, My wife has an iPhone6 while I have an iPhone7. Both are iOS version 10.1.1 with latest Sonos application installed. I am running Beta on the Sonos controller for controlling directly from the Spotify application and seeing weird behaviour. My Wife's older iPhone6 will randomly not be able to connect to the controller while my iPhone7 is fine always. I've reinstalled her application, cleared her DHCP lease to get a new address, and when the issue is occurring, attempted several wifi disconnects / reconnects plus application close and open to no avail. Eventually the app will connect, the timeout period for it to do so varies greatly. Issue occurs daily and randomly. again, my iphone7 has _ALWAYS_ connected fine. Has anyone experienced similar and is there any advice on what else to try? is there an incompatibility with iphone6 (not 6s) and beta that wouldnt affect iphone7 on the same ios version? Seems odds, but maybe? Thanks in advance,
Hi, hope someone can help... Using my desktop controller [running Windows Vista], most of the commands in the 'manage' pull-down menu are not available. All software updates are showing up-to-date, but most of the commands, including 'update music library' are greyed out. Otherwise, the system is functioning normally Cheers, Geof Ashton
I realized this week-end that one of the Play:1 in my kitchen has an issue with the volume rocker. The keys for volume up and down work, but I get the mechanical feedback "click" only for the volume down key. Volume up is registered, but without any haptic feedback. It is not a major issue, but I am worried that this could be a precursor to the button not working at all anymore in the future. Now I am wondering if someone knows the issue. I wonder if it is an issue with the key or with the witch board below. Also, the speaker is in the kitchen, and it is possible that some foreign object may be blocking the key a bit... My Sonos system grew over time, and I am not sure from which purchase the speaker is and whether it is still under warranty. Moreover, I want to avoid sending it in for a repair just to read "Cause of fault: Bread crumb" in the protocol afterwards. Any suggestions?
I have been using my Sonos Connect and Play3 just fine for several months. Back in October i bought a new Play 1 and after a bit of struggling, I was eventually able to add it to the existing system, but I cannot recall exactly what I had to do to get it to work. I tried so many things and in the end I remember leaving it for a few hours and it was just working then. Now I just bought another new play 1 and have been trying to add this to my existing system for a day now. I have tried and ready through as much as I could find on this community but I am now completely stuck. The only thing I can do now is setup a new system adding 1 player, it doesn't matter which one but I can only add 1. After the first player is setup I have can control that single player just fine but when I go to try and add any of the other 3 players I get errors. When I first go and try to add a player it find the unit and lists the correct serial number but when I press the play/pause + volume up buttons and w
Hi, For some reason my Play 5s will no longer pair in stereo (I had no issues until about 3 weeks ago). Whenever I try I get the following error instantly. "There was a problem creating the stereo pair. Please Try again" I can "group" the speakers without issues but they will no longer function as a pair. Can someone please help?
Hi, we just purchased 2 Play 1 Speakers and have followed all the instructions for set up, dowloaded player on iphone and lap top. When we try to add stations, we keep getting the 1101 error, unable to upadate. We have broadband with wifi and are not using ethernet. We have tried the suggested fix of re starting everything and it doesn't work. We are so diappointed it has to be this hard and I'm about ready to just return these speakers! Any suggestions out there would be so much appreciated. No C.S. until monday, at which time we will call. From what I gather, this is not an uncommon problem. :(
Here is the situation. I have 2 Connect:Amps and 1 Connect. All are physically located in my living room. The amps drive built in speakers in my master bedroom and rooftop. The connect powers living room speakers (through receiver). My primary router (Google OnHub) is also in the living room. Everything works great when I (and my iPhone) are physically in the living room. However, my Wi-Fi was very weak in the bedroom (furthest location from the router) so I bought another OnHub router, put it in bridge mode, and plugged it into my home Ethernet network. All Wi-Fi enabled devices work fine and easily switch between routers, HOWEVER if I'm in my bedroom and my phone is connected to the bridged router, the Sonos app cannot connect to my wireless network (even tho my phone is on my Wi-Fi network). Is there anything I can do to my networked routers or Sonos to fix this? Do I need to buy new equipment to ensure that Wi-Fi and Sonos is usable from all corners of my house? Thanks
I've used InSSIder to look at wireless signals near me and it only detects a SonosNet signal if the Sonos controller (CR100) is on. When the controller goes to sleep the SonosNet signal disappears off InSSIDer despite music still being played. Why doesn't InSSIDer pick up the SonosNet signal ? Is there another wifi detector that would see it ? Would something like Wi-Spy see it ?
My iOS apps (iPhone and iPad) prompt me to update my Sonos app about once per day. However, when I proceed with the update I get a message that no update is available. This seemed to start happening after I joined the beta program, although I can't be certain there is a correlation. Has anyone seen this issue?
