Solution Found: Djing with Sonos 5.1 (DDj 400)

I found a solution to DJing with Sonos. The RCA output of the Dj console goes into bluetooth transmitter 5.0 , can use along with Headphone amplifier unit, and the bluetooth receiver , preferably of the same company, takes the spdif output to playbar. I tried this and there is no lag what so ever.

Hi @rockruin

Been looking for a way to set up my Sonos with no audio delay for ages. Do you know if this compromises the audio quality at all?

This is because the digital input on the Playbar is not expected to be used for synched multiroom music and so does not have the 75ms delay built in.  (I suspect the lag is too small to be heard, rather than zero, but that’s obviously good enough).

If a wired connection is possible, then the Bluetooth element isn’t needed.  Assuming RCA analog stereo connection out of the DJ console you would just need an ADC with optical out.

@JoshScurrah  - your profile only shows a Play:5.  This won’t work with a Play:5.

Nor will it work with any speakers that you ‘group’ with the PLAYBAR.
