My move and phone not connecting properly via expanded wifi network

Hi

I’ve not found an answer to this on the topics and wonder if anyone can help.

I have a One and SL paired in the house.

I recently bought 2 Sonos Moves so I could get stereo streaming at the back of the garden.

This is about 50-60m from the router (bt hub) and the speakers show up as connected to the router via wifi but my phone, which controls them is has poor/no wifi making them difficult to use as I envisioned.

I bought an access point (EAP225-Outdoor https://www.tp-link.com/uk/business-networking/outdoor-ap/eap225-outdoor/ ) for the garden which hasn’t helped.

I’ve given the access point the same SSID and password as the router. The speakers remain attached to the house router while the phone app is on the access point and I get very poor control and the “unable to connect to sonos product message often appears.”

I bought a boost. It’s not helped.

Any suggestions how I can get things communicating properly so I can just pop the moves where I like and get easy to play music via my Sonos app???

Thanks for any help offered. I’m not super up to speed on networking but can work through any suggestions posted.

What seems to work best is:

Removing copied SSID and password on Access point and creating new ones.

Ensuring Moves are turned off.

Take them to back of garden, turn on and link them to separate new wifi.
