Have a 3 car garage and converted the single into a home gym. I’ve got 4 One SL’s hooked up and a Gen 3 sub on top of the water heater in the opposite corner. Can anyone tell me why I’m only hearing that true deep bass in certain areas of the garage and not all over? It’s really disappointing to be honest, but hopefully there’s a solution? thank you very much in advance for any advice.
I have a sound bar and two SL Ones. When watching certain movies the surround is louder than the voices coming from the sound bar and you can’t hear the people talk. Is there a way to turn down the SL Ones manually from the app. I’ve tried every option and it won’t let me turn them down or turn the sound bar up.
I have tried to connect all my components, two Sonos Play 1s, a Playbase and a Connect, to a new, closer and stronger network. The sonos Play 1s were a pair. One of them switched, the other did not. The Playbase switched but the other Sonos Play 1 and the Connect amp did not. The top button on the Connect, not just the little light, is flashing red no matter what I do. How may I get all these back to factory specs and start over with the connections?
I purchased the Amp outdoor speaker combo from Best Buy and now want to add a pair of sonance rk63 rock speakers. I know you can hookup up 4 8ohm speakers to the Amp. The RK83 ohm ratings says 8 ohm nominal and 6ohm minimum. Can I connect all 4 of these in parallel without any problems? Speakers that came with the Best Buy kit are MAGO6V3. Thanks!
I’m an authorized Sonos dealer. Installed a system 6 months ago in a cabin 100 miles from my office, configured system with S2 on my Android tablet, system working fine when I last left it. Customer does not use cabin during winter.I wanted to know how to completely delete the current Android configuration created with my company credentials and start with a clean install on customer’s iPad. Sonos agent wasn’t sure how deleting configuration would affect Sonos upgrades or any other effects. As another option, I had questions on transferring the system to customers account that’s to be created next week on their iPad. Needed to know if a 1 - Boost, 3 - Amp configuration created on a current Android tablet to an iPad will transfer without a complications. I’d prefer to delete and start from scratch but need a possible back up.Complete frustration with call - escalated and told best they could do is email transfer instructions (Android to Android?) just before call dropped. Both conve
Hi! I’m doing a little mod/add-on to my Sonos One (don’t ask what and why, long story 😅). My question is, how do you think this construction may affect WIFI-reception? I’ve marked the places where I think the antennas are, do you think the metal wire may interfere in some way?Thankful for all input! Have an awesome Sunday!
Hi I’ve been into Sonos for a very long time. I’m reasonably familiar with both the S1 and S2 apps. I’m currently running 2 Sub Gen2, 1 Sub Gen3, an Arc, a Beam Gen1, a Beam Gen2, a Playbar, 2 Play:1, 2 Play:5, 4 Play One SL, and 2 Play One. In an 1100 sqft apartment lol. I only seem to recognize my illness when I type it out. So again, I’m reasonably comfortable with the company’s products. So I’ve decided that I need to thin out the herd.My Arc is bonded with the Sub Gen3 and 2 of the Play Ones. Really really nice setup. I love the sound. I’m not messing around with this. I currently have my Beam Gen2 bonded with 1 Sub Gen2. I have them in my small studio (I’m a painter). I have them for movie / YouTube while working. “Maybe” a 12x12 room. It’s not an Arc, but it’s good. I haven’t decided about the 2 Play One SLs. It’s such a small room. I don’t want to hamper ATMOS.Finally, I prefer to listen to lossless music. Now the problem space. I have a something like 13x20 Lounge / Living Room
I have a new NAS on my network and it uses Samba 4.I get the highly informative ( ) error code of ‘900’ when trying to add it.I see threads and questions going back 4 years in this community asking for better Samba support from Sonos. The stock repsonses are simple promises to pass on the question to development teams.I don’t know how difficult it would be to add support for more modern Samba implementations but I do see there is a demand for it.What is wrong at Sonos that you ignore your users so readily and don’t even provide an explanation as to why you refuse to implement this apparently simple request?Your stock response seems to be to let the thread go until people stop reading it and then close it with a weak excuse. What sort of company are you? That said, I expect someone to respond with a weak answer and for this question to be closed with no action. THAT’s the type of company I see in action here...
I expanded my networking gear. Router’s WiFi is off, instead I connected an Asus ZenWiFi AX Mini mesh system to serve as WiFi. Some devices in my network are Ethernet based, others through WiFi. Asus has its own DHCP server. So WiFi based devices are in another IP range than Ethernet based. WiFi is super stable. My Sonos should run WiFi based, due to the remote positions in the house. To make sure I had a clean installation, I reseted all my Sonos devices by holding down play/plus while connecting to power. Those are my Sonos devices: Sonos Bridge Sonos Connect Play:1 Play:5 (gen 1 Sub (gen 2) PlaybarFirst I spent more than an hour trying with the Sonos S1 app by just adding one single device through WiFi. Sometimes I was pretty close, able to see a device. Then process asked me to switch over to SONOS WiFi which I did. In the next step switching back, the process stoped because app unable to connect. In other attempts the SSID SONOS did not even appear, even when app suggested to conne
I have a play 1 and connect using S2 that have been connected to a networked hard drive over a TP link 1750 router for 1-2 years. While playing music 2 weeks ago the sonos network lost connection to the drive. I’ve deleted the music library and tried to re-add it multiple times. I get an error message that includes “the device where the music files are stored may not be powered on or the path may have changed”. I can access the files through a computer and can access the drive using a Yamaha networked amp. I’ve adjusted/looked at all of the settings in the router and I’ve been on the phone with the sonos tech support for hours. I can still stream music but I can’t access the music on the hard drive. Any suggestions on a fix or why this might have suddenly happened?
Hi, I’m trying to optimize my home WiFi networks. I have two running: one is off of the Comcast router, the second runs an Orbi mesh network (it’s a 3-story, narrow rowhome). Most of my devices run off of the Orbi network (which is connected to the cable router via an unmanaged switch). Since it’s a 3 story home, I purchased a Sonos Boost to support speakers on every floor. And of course the router is on the ground floor.Does it make sense to put the Boost onto the cable router (through the network switch), or with most other WiFi devices, into one of the Orbi devices? Can the boost work as a wireless bridge (the documentation is vague), in which case I could put it on the second floor? Finally, can most of the devices in the home (including the iOS controller and Alexa, be on a different WiFi network than Sonos?)I’m trying to figure out how best to configure this, and would really appreciate your advice! Thanks all...
I currently have a 5.1 surround set up using a gen 1 sub, beam, and 2 One SLs. My sub randomly stopped working the other day and upon trying to reconnect/reset/repair everything, it will not play any audio. Prior to it stop working it was making a random periodic popping sound. This is when I tried resetting it and reconnecting. At first it wouldn't connect, now it'll show it connects fine but will not play any audio when linked to my 5.1 or my other Sonos one in the kitchen. Is the sub just toast now? I've also tried using WiFi and Ethernet, no luck with either. Here's the diagnostic code: 1200403642
Hello, I cannot seem to find any information regarding the topology of an ARC, AMP & SUB configuration. I am building a room for an ARC, an AMP and (1) Sub. I’m not clear how Sonos connects the amp when utilized as a surround device. In short, can I have the ARC and SUB in the room with the connected display and the AMP located in a network closet wired both to the ceiling speakers and connected to the network via CAT6. I’m not clear if SONOS joins them as a network device or a wireless device, in which case I presume there are proximity/distance limitations to the AMP from the ARC. Any information would be lovely. Hey Community! Sorry to sound like such a novice but I have a Sonos Beam, two Ones as my surrounds and a Sub currently set up as my TV surround setup.I have bought a turntable which I wanted to connect to my speaker setup through a Sonos Amp.I have set this up today and it seems that the Amp cannot connect / stream to my existing system as this wants to set up a new room with this as the main component. Is there a way I can stream my Amp inline audio to my existing system so I don’t have to reset up a system every time I want to listen to my turntable? Thanks in advance!
I have a quite old HD tv (Pioneer) that I love and still has lots of legs. On Installation of the amp, we tried hooking up the tv to the in wall speakers from SONOS and the AMP as well. What occurred was about a 2 second latency on the relationship between the visual words spoken and the sound occurring which was quite distracting. The tech moved it to PDM on the settings which had only marginal if any effect. Is there any way to obtain added hardware to narrow/eliminate this issue? The aesthetic of where the speakers had to be placed really necessitates removing the existing tv speakers (either side of the tv which is wall mounted also) to achieve a more pleasing wall.
Excuse my naivete, but still learning the Sonos system. Confused on licensing with media services. We have several groups of rooms. Does each group require a separate license? For instance, in Soundtrack Player (business version of Spotify) you license each zone. Does a zone correspond to a room in Sonos?
I have 2 x Sonos Subs (Gen 3) connected to my home theatre system in my Living Room - Arc + OneSL (L) + One SL(R)I have purchased 2 more OneSL for another room and want to separate one of the Subs from my existing system to pair with the new speakers. How do I remove just 1 of the Subs as the tab in Settings just nominates ‘Remove Subs’
