Google Wifi Mesh Speed Slowed with SONOS

Greetings,

I have a 1,600 square foot house with 3 Google Wifi points.  Upon playing the SONOS system, my speed degrades from 150Mbps to 25Mbps.  Current configuration below:

  • 4 Sonos Play Ones
  • 2 Sonos Play Threes (stereo pair)
  • 1 Sonos Play Five
  • 1 Port
  • 1 Beam
  • 1 Sub
  • 1 Boost

Primary Google WIFI point is plugged directly into the modem with the other ethernet port leading to the TPLink unmanaged 5 port gigabit switch.  The BOOST is wired into the TPLink switch and connected to BEAM.

Any thoughts on changing the configuration to reduced speed loss? Perhaps another BOOST would help? Thank you in advance.

Following, similar situation experienced here as well.

What happens if you remove the BOOST from the switch, and instead plug it in to the Primary Google Wi-Fi point?

@Robert_137, An Unmanaged Switch would be required to support IGMP Snooping in order to avoid network loops and multicast flooding.

What happens if you remove the BOOST from the switch, and instead plug it in to the Primary Google Wi-Fi point?

I can try that but given my setup, I couldn’t function without the additional ports.
