I’ve been suffering audio dropouts for months on my most-used speakers - a pair of Play 3s in the bedroom. I’ve tried so many things reconfiguring my network and with/without SonosNet, but the problem always returns.A reboot fixes them for 24-48 hours. After four lengthy support calls with different technicians over the last two weeks, I was told this morning that the problem is that the Play 3 has not got enough memory and after 24-48 hours it runs out and that is why the audio starts dropping. I was told to either replace them or switch them off at night and switch them on again in the morning.Setting a different alarm to switch my speakers on so that the Sonos alarm can wake me up with the radio is self-defeating and is a total hack. This is clearly a SOFTWARE problem if the memory is sufficient after a reboot but then “fills up” over time. This is just about memory management and I don’t like being told that my much-loved speakers are now obsolete.I have 13 Sonos speakers around the

Hello! There is a new Sonos Port in our office. The Sonos Port is located in the server cabinet, connected via an ethernet wire to the nearest switch. The network is new and the Internet is about 200 Mbps. There is only one subnet. There are no conflicts on the network. The network engineer confirmed it. I noticed a problem connecting to the Sonos Port with the new S2 version (updated). The updated Sonos Port (with S2) is not detected on the network. I tried to connect from my smartphone (Sonos S2 App), and also tried to find it from my computer (with Sonos S2). A long search for the device, eventually not to be found. Then I made a rollback (Downgrade) to the S1 version. After the rollback, the Sonos Port began to be detected normally on the network. In the previous version, an update message is intrusively coming out. Dear developers, please check this situation, it is necessary to fix the bug and optimize the new version of S2 for Port. Thank you!P.S. Please move the topic to Audio C
Hello everyone,Since I updated my Sonos Controller S1 under Windows 11 to version 16.1, I can no longer start the app.I briefly see the black SONOS S1 logo and that's it.The logo disappears and the app is closed. There is also no Sonos task to be found in the task manager.A complete uninstall and reinstall did not change this behavior.I only use Windows Defender as virus protection.Deactivating this virus scanner for a short time made no difference, so that was obviously not the problem.I am at a loss, does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks in advance and best regards from the far north of GermanymeMyself

Moderator edit:Google Translate-Good morning,Is the Sonos Port compatible with the Sonos Arc?Can the Sonos Port send sound (over wifi) to the Sonos Arc? Thanks in advance
Howdy folks - Love the Sonos S2 app but it’s had a bug for a while that has gotten on my nerves. With the Sonos S2 App open, you can use the physical hardware buttons on the phone to increment the volume. Every press on the up button increases volume of the selected group, every press on the down button decreases the volume of the selected group. This works fine! The trouble is the selection of the volume increment. When adjusting the volume from a volume of 1, up will increment by 1. 1 goes to 2, 2 goes to 3, etc. Once the volume is above 10, it begins to increment by 2. 10 goes to 11, 11 goes to 13, 13 goes to 15, etc. Once the volume is above 20, it begins to increment by 4. 19 goes to 21, 21 goes to 25, 25 goes to 29, etc. It also works the same way for decrementing but I don’t think this is ideal behavior. It seems the logic is implement like this:Volume 0-10 → increment is 1Volume 11-20 → increment is 2Volume 21+ → increment is 4But that means the behavior is different for up an
Helloi have an amp connected to 4 sets of in ceiling speakers that was working great and now suddenly when I put the volume past 70ish the sounds cuts out. When I unplug the right banana clips I can go up to 100 volume. I understand this to be a safety feature so the amp doesn’t break beyond repair but I can’t fathom what has happened to the right cables to cause this issue. We had some construction work done and new lights installed but I don’t see how it could be related. Does the community have any ideas what the issue is in the connections/cables to cause this? thanks in advance for the help
I shelled out for Sonos equipment and was exasperated to find that i can't get a drop of TV dialogue out of my two Era 100 speakers, after configuring them in a surround system with my Beam soundbar. Instead, they are just expensive paper weights if, say, I'm watching TV news or another talky broadcast (shows which barely have any surround sounds to emit). In other words, I can choose to set my new Sonos speakers up merely as extra speakers (good for news and talk shows) or as surround speakers (good for movies). But not both, nor with any way to toggle among sound profiles, nor adjust the sound to let dialogue through in surround. Whether by money-grubbing design (to get us to buy more speakers) or engineering incompetence, I simply can't use my expensive Sonos speakers for both surround sound AND dialogue. Do others have the same experience?
Hello! It used to be super easy with Sonos 1 app and Alexa to hook my Amazon Echo's to Sonos, but with S2, it's unclear. There are at least three different ways online, none of which work. Anyone have an idea of how to control Sonos via an Echo Show (not an Alexa-enabled Sonos speaker)? Thanks!
I've used the Sonos arc, sub mini, and one SLs for over a year and I've never had any issues. Last week I decided to get two era 300s to replace my one SLs because I watch a lot of Atmos content. After I installed the era 300s, the whole system's sound cuts out randomly, and does not come back. I'll be watching a movie on say Disney+ and the sound will just cut out, not just in the 300s but all of the speakers, and the tv will continue to play the movie. All speakers are connected via wifi, I have rebooted my router and unplugged everything and plugged in the router, then tv, then the arc and each speaker to make sure they're all connected to the same network (2.4ghz). The Sonos arc is connected to my LG G2 77 tv via the hdmi cable that it came with to the tvs eARC port. One way I've found to get the sound back, as it doesn't ever come back on its own, is I go into my TV's sound settings - > click on digital sound output - > change the sound from pass through to auto, and then b
Hi, today I upgraded my Beam 1 to a Beam 2. I have two One surround speakers and a mini sub.I’m using a 2022 LG Oled with earc, I own, Switch, PS5, Xbox series X and Apple tv. Now, since upgrading I’m totally lost what my settings for each should be :( Currently with switch I’m getting Multichannel PCM 5.1. Which is what I should be getting. But on PS5 I set my settings to Dolby Atmos but the sonos app tells me that the audio is multichannel PCM 7.1. Even when using a Atmos game. Apple TVis also showing as multichannel PCM 7.1 Is that the correct audio that I should be getting as my system is only 5.1? Why 7.1 and not dolby? On Xbox, I have set it to Dolby atmos and with that it shows as Atmos in the app. But then I read that atmos on Series X has a delay. So, I'm lost as to what my best settings should be. Can someone here please be kind enough to what the best TV/console settings are for each device? I’ve done a search but there does not seem to be any PS5 settings suggested after it
