adding more to my system

Hello first time here, Sonos user. Happy with what I have. Took a while to set up my system, but now is working fine.my question is if adding an Era300( only 1) would be ok. Or have to be 2 Sonos (Era 300).my system consist of;beam 2, sub 3 gen, 2 Sonos SL, 1 roam.it would make it better??

Connecting TV with arc, subwoofer and era300

Hi, I have a samsung smart TV with Sonos sound bar, Sonos subwoofer and era300. I can only link the soundbar and subwoofer or the subwoofer and era300, not all three at the same time. I click on set up stereo pair and the set cup surrounds options but haven't been able to troubleshoot the issue. Do I require 2 of the era 300 speakers to work as surrounds/stero pairs? I was of the opinion I could have the TV with sound bar and subwoofer beneath it along with a era300 off to the rear side of seating area but perhaps this is not correct? Appreciate any assistance.

Greetings everyone!I have a Sonos beam gen 2, mini Sub, 2x Symfonisk speakers connected to a TVI also have a third party turntable with pre amp (pro-ject) and 2x active speakers (Edifier R1280T wired, not BT)Can I connect them all together to stream music from my turntable to the Sonos system? Which hardware do I need to do so?Also can i connect all together when watching movies or there will be a sound delay? Is there any chance of frying a device because of the active speakers?Thanks in advance, greetings from Greece! ✌️

NAS drive connection issue

I have a WD ‘MyCloud NAS drive and am unable to connect to Sonos as I believe I should be able to. I am unable to discern the correct path I can ‘see’ the drive on Plex, but would like access directly through Sonos… Cheers

AMP and Sonance VP66TL (pair)

Has anyone had any issues with Sonance VP66 TL (thinline) speakers on AMP running at higher volumes. Distortion, popping/cracking sounds. We’ve isolated the speakers (and Sonance provided a new set), wiring and AMP, and all seem to function fine independently, but in combination, the problem persists.Sonance and Sonos both are saying products should work fine together. I have other rooms running AMP with other sonance speakers (same family, just not thinline) with no issues

Sound Blaster X4 + Sonos Beam Gen 2 on PC - Not outputting sound

I recently bought a Sound Blaster X4 for my Sonos Beam Gen 2 to connect it to my gaming PC. I think I've done everything correctly but I'm not getting any output. While fiddling with the settings last night I managed to get sound but turning my PC on today, there's nothing outputting from the Beam.I connected my PC to the X4 via USB -> X4 to Beam Gen 2 through SPDIF out using the supplied Sonos dongle. I set the default playback to SPDIF Out (Sound Blaster X4). Set up the Beam 2 via the iOS app but didn't connect it to any TVs. Still no sound. What am I doing wrong?

Configure Sonos Arc surrounds using In-Ceiling speakers powered by Sonos Connect:Amp Gen 1

Yes I know Arc is not compatible with S1 but I’ll explain why I have what I have. I have a total of 6 Sonos Connect Gen 1's, each powering 2 Sonos In-Ceiling Speakers in 6 separate rooms, including the Living Room. When we moved into this home, all that was already hooked up. The Sonos Connect Gen 1s are of course only compatible with the S1 app In my living Room, I have a Sonos Arc as my flat screen TV external sound system. The Arc is only compatible with the S2 app. The Arc is currently connected with a Sonos Sub (Gen 3) as the subwoofer. There are currently no speakers configured as surround sound speakers for the Arc. I bought these when I first moved into the house. I am new to Sonos so I didnt know about the S1 / S2 divergence/incompatibility. The problem: For my Arc, I would like to be able to configure the Sonos In-Ceiling speakers in the Living Room as the surround sound speakers for the Arc for when I am watching movies on my flat screen TV. Help Needed: Sonos Arc Not Syncing with Orei UHD48-EX230-K HDMI Switcher

Hello everyone,I recently upgraded from an Orei UHDS-202 HDMI switcher to an Orei UHD48-EX230-K, and I'm experiencing issues with syncing my Sonos Arc sound bar with my main LG TV. Previously, the audio setup worked perfectly with the Orei UHDS-202, but now, I can no longer get the Sonos connection to appear on my LG TV. Here’s my current setup:- **Devices Connected**: TV box, Amazon Fire Stick, and PS5, all connected via HDMI.- **Outputs**: Two TVs connected.- **Soundbar**: Sonos Arc, which used to connect through HDMI ARC via the old switcher.With the new Orei UHD48-EX230-K, the sound bar isn’t recognized by my LG TV anymore. I’ve tried checking the HDMI ARC/eARC settings on my TV and ensuring all cables are high-speed and properly connected, but nothing has worked so far.Has anyone faced a similar issue or does anyone have insights on how to resolve this? compressed dolby atmos over Arc from ATV4K

I have a 2020 Samsung qled with arc and I can only get Dolby 5.1 over arc and the Sonos website says I should be able to at least get compressed Atmos over arc. I’ve tried it all I feel and I’m stumped

Using USA device in India

Moving from USA to India with my Sonos Arc, Gen3 and Era 100. India has 220v power compared to 110v in USA. All of these devices specification says 100-240v. Does that mean that the US device will work just fine in India without a step down converter? Anyone in the community who has done that?

Connect Amp keeps dropping out audio

Hi I have 4 Connect Amps that have been working fine for some years but just recently they are dropping the Audio for a few seconds which is very annoying. I have spoken to Sonos Support on a few occasions and done everything they have suggested to fix this which they say is WiFi Interference such as switching channels etc but still have problems. This happens on any music source but I have noticed when the speakers go silent the sound levels are still going up and down on the app as if its playing the audio in other words not muted, not sure if this helps identify the problem. I am getting to the point now where soon these will be removed as they just aren't worth the hassle. I have seen a few threads where people have had the same problem but the only answers I have seen are contact Sonos Support.Has anyone had this problem and got a viable solution??????Some posts suggest an issue with S2 being introduced so does anyone know if this is a problem??

Trouble finding things to play from Amazon Music

I’ve had a Sonos + Alexa going on for a good time. It works normally quite well and most issues in recent few years have been about Alexa. Yeah, Sonos speakers tend to take the command (my outside speaker replies when I speak 20cm from my Kitchen Echo Show) that’s meant for devices with a display, but I’ve come to understand I should only execute commands and not really expect an answer, so that’s fine.. But I’ve noticed recently a growing problem of not finding what I want to play with the Sonos app. With Alexa I can just say “Alexa, play dreamy edm” and it chooses a channel and plays something. Surprisingly often it chooses right and I’m happy with whatever comes out of the speakers. But there are situations when I want to use the app instead of voice commands, say during past week Alexa has always stopped playing music after one song no matter what album playlist or station I ask it to play. With Sonos app, the playback continues fine. But with Sonos app I have to know exactly the n

Which layout - Speaker setup would you go with?

Hi guys, I am helping my friend with his Sonos purchase and well I wanted your opinion on the 2 proposed setup: Setup A: Zone 1: Kitchen/Living room combined → Sonos AmpZone 2: Dining Room → Sonos AmpZone 3: Family room (Arc sound bar + Gen 3 sub) This setup visually looks better and has a steeper price tag, main concern is , is it an overkill? also if 5-10 years down the road he moves, well the in-ceiling speakers stay! Total: 10 in-ceiling speakers | 2 Sonos Amp | 2 Era 300 | 1 Arc Soundbar | 1 Gen 3 Sub Setup B: Zone 1: KitchenZone 2: Mid-Kitchen Zone 3: Living RoomZone 4: Dinning Room (group the 2 Era 100 with 2 Era 300) Zone 5: Family Room (identical in both plans)Main benefit, cost is lower as Era 100s are cheaper and no Sonos Amp is required, in addition if he moves, he can take the speakers with him! PS) I would have suggested to replace 2 of the Era 100 with Era 300 but with his floor plan, there is no way to place the 300 in such a way that their “top” is going to be clear!

to connect sonos speaker with ios apps

Yesterday, I lost one symphonics speaker inside my home network. And during to try configuration this speaker, I lost all Sonos Speakers (7). My phone is an iPhone 13 with the last update. This my configAfter many hours and chat with someone on phone and she gave me advice to separate the WiFi frequency off the Internet box, that I did, I were llocked and with no possibility to reinstall the configuration. I should use Android phone and to iinstall the configure. After 3 hours, it's working good a new. But my topic is just to inform the problem with the apps who stay lock with old configure and couldn't install correctly the configuration, because it's search old system and can not arrive to associate speakers. Impossible to erase system and to reinstall a new, even on website. To try to reset on factory, don't change anything. When cut the power of the speakers, the apps search to install it again.After to have the config back, I try a new to reinstall on an ios, but nothing works

Feature request: Apple TV with Sonos App

As a custom integrator I feel very strongly that Sonos should have an app on the Apple TV device. I understand that Sonos wants to be able to manage every aspect of their ecosystem but since 99% of my installs has an Apple TV, I think Sonos should offer a paid app to stream directly from the Apple TV. Some clients don’t want a universal remote and just want to use the Apple TV remote, and some control systems don’t work well with Sonos (I’m looking at you Control4). So to me it looks like a niche Sonos can profit from. Make it less than $50 per Apple TV device and I guarantee I can sell that as a line item in every bid. Make it possible for me to purchase licenses and install them in-app and we’ll be good to go. Maybe it’s too much to ask for or perhaps Sonos’ licensing deals with streaming services aren’t able to extend to a third-party device, but I’d be very happy to see this developed one day.
